This hotel has a wonderful view of the beach.  Perfect to catch sunrise/sunset.  It is a short walk to the beach and restaurants. The room was large and clean.  The owner was very friendly.  I certainly recommend.

Great view

This hotel is not to be confused with Davinci Resortel which is right next door! The sign across the entry door says Davinchin Hotel above it Davinchi and elsewhere Davinci- but what's in a name! Just get up to your room and look out the window and you won't be disappointed.
 The proprietor is a friendly man who speaks only a little english, but he kindly showed us to our room and showed us how the controls in the room work (which are in korean of course).  The room is of an average size has a small table and 2 chairs, dresser, big flat screen TV, fridge, bed, Good Aircon, a water filter with hot and cold water on tap and free wifi that worked well. The bathroom is old but clean and has a small bath with shower.  The room is bright and clean and there is a balcony you can get out on and enjoy the panoramic views.  You can see down to the beach to the left, across the sculpture garden (owned by Suncruise) and the monstrous Suncruise hotel next door.
 The Suncruise hotel dominates the whole town really, which is just a small fishing village. They play a really annoying soundtrack of seagulls and foghorns from early in the morning, and in the evening they have live music on the roof which you can hear all over town (luckily it was finished around 9pm).  Also if you think you might just go and have a look around, well they have a ticket gate and you have to pay to get in (W5000). I have never seen such a thing.
Anyway i believe this Davinci hotel is cheaper then the one next door, and it has the same view and location.  It is really best for those with a car as it is up a steep hill behind the town, although it is not so far that you couldn't walk down to the town, but there are no shops near the hotel itself. There a plenty of local korean seafood restaurants in the town and even a fried chicken place, but not much in the way of 
western food.  There are a couple of convenience stores in town also.
Davinchi hotel was indeed a good stay with a friendly proprietor and was good value for money at this peak time. It was a pretty peaceful place, aside from the Suncruise ship. Remember to bring your own breakfast as no meals are provided.
