We went to Mongoose Manor for one night after being in the game park for a few days.  From the time we got there, they were the most wonderful hosts.  The room was so comfortable, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome.  The breakfast was wonderful - we really want to go back for more than one night!!

Stay too short but wonderful

Rooms are spacious with adequate seating. Staff friendly and helpful. Property grounds very beautiful , even it is next to a street you can’t hear traffic noises.

For the best accommodation with a touch of nature, do visit Mongoose. The land scape and garden view while having breakfast is breath taking. Rooms are neatly kept and are spacious. for a first time visitor in P.E, the Mongoose sure gave me a thousand Reasons to call again.

My sister and I recently stayed here for two nights and had a great time. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to two large bedrooms with sitting areas that shared a bathroom and kitchenette. Breakfasts were plentiful and cooked fresh. We were also able to pay extra for evening meals which was very helpful as we did not have a car, but check with Mongoose Manor as this option is not always available. The evening meals were excellent.Thanks to all at Mongoose Manor, we have no hesitation in recommending it and would definitely stay here again.

Great stay.

My sister and I recently stayed at Mongoose Manor for two nights and were lucky enough to get a room upgrade ending up in the main part of the house with each of us having our own large bedroom and sitting area then sharing a bathroom and kitchenette. Both rooms looked out onto the gardens and had patio areas so you could sit outside. Breakfasts were plentiful and freshly cooked, we also paid for an evening meal on both nights (check with the B&B as the option of an evening meal is not always available) which were excellent. All the staff were lovely and we had a really great stay at Mongoose Manor, we have no hesitation in recommending this B&B and would certainly stay here again.Thank you Rhoda and Lydia.

Great stay

We had a very pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast. Free upgrade to the Executive Room was a bonus!

Pleasant stay in comfortable guest house.

Upon hearing that we had to leave very early the next morning to catch a flight and would therefore miss the 8am breakfast service, the manager was kind enough to prepare something for us the night before.  We were generally happy with the guesthouse. It is set in a beautiful old manor and has a very nice garden.  Our only complaint is that the walls between rooms are much too thin and we were disturbed by noise from nearby rooms.There's not too much to see or do in that part of the city, but Port Elizabeth airport is only a 15 min drive away.
