Guinea Fowl Loft is situated high up in the suburb of The Heads in Knysna. Spectacular lagoon view from lounge, kitchen and bathroom  Tiny Juliette balcony which could only fit 2 small chairs. Went facing apartment was very hot in the pm and fan intge lounge barely worked  Small kitchen well equipped. Spacious bedroom fan worked well. VERY steep driveway difficult to negotiate.

Great view from Guinea Fowl Loft

From the minute we arrived Mart and Peter made us welcome, providing all sorts of information and recommendations without us having to ask and lots of interesting discussions on Africa.  Our room had a fabulous view over the bay from the balcony towards the Heads and was clean and comfortable.  Generous freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace which could be protected on the odd windy day.  
Lovely friendly dog and cat as well.
We stayed a week and would happily have stayed longer. Thank you so much

Splendid

We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was large but rather dark and didn’t  have a view like some others. However we were made to feel very welcome and were well looked after by Mart. She could not have been more helpful and was always on hand to help us with any queries we had. Breakfast was nice with eggs cooked to order and a fabulous view from the deck. 
We really want to publicly thank Mart for making our stay so comfortable.

Comfortable B&B with excellent hostess

What an awesome stay!

1. Best breakfast ever with a good variety. (mushrooms are delicious and homemade ciabata bread are mouth watering)
2. Amazing view of Knysna Heads.
3. Peter is such a wise man, loved talking to him and him and his wife Mart went out of their way to make our stay so comfortable.
4. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean.
5. They are very helpful, friendly and attentive.
We enjoyed our stay and will be back. Fantastic! 

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 

As soon as we booked into this place we wished we had arranged to stay longer!  It is a beautifully furnished guesthouse with a stunning view over Knysna Bay.  Our rooms had a balcony with view over the bay and were very clean, comfortable and cosy.  This guesthouse has a lovely, homely feel to it, with lots of quirky and beautiful decor throughout.  There is also a beautiful pool and courtyard.  The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and very interesting to talk to.  The breakfast was also very good.  Would highly recommend this guesthouse and if we ever return to SA we would definitely book up again.

Beautiful accommodation with stunning views

We stayed 2 nights in Knysna & we had a pretty bungalow to the rear of the property. Our accommodation was spacious & we had a lovely courtyard with seating & plants. The pool was very welcome - nice to relax after a day sightseeing even when the weather was a little breezy! There was a good choice at breakfast from fruit & cereal to a fried breakfast. The furniture in our bungalow was in quite a traditional style which I liked. Instead of a fridge in the room there was a large fridge in the courtyard to share. This was sufficient for cold drinks for us but could be used for food. 
There were good views of the Knysna Heads from the breakfast room & terrace. The only downside was the steps down to the town - not so much going down them as coming back up!!

Lovely guest house.

Mart & Pete, proprietors do well to welcome you and be helpful. The accommodation is cosy and shows care. Also there is a consideration of the current water shortage problem, that they address and try and bring the guests in board to help - which is no problem. Pete "The Chef de Breakfast" does a good job and cooks a wicked omelette. The breakfast is nice

We have found in several SA B & B's that the furniture is dated (I don't mean antique) and I think people demand a little more than this now. The towels were on the small side. Another niggle we hate that is peculiar to a few B & B's here is the need to fill in a questionnaire the day before on what you want for breakfast, who knows what is your fancy 12 hours hence and why the need to know? Relax this a bit

But these only small points that I hope will help

Homely & Welcoming

Stayed for 3 nights. The BEST thing about this place is the view across the Lagoon to the Heads. Rooms are clean but a little basic. Breakfast was fine but again a little basic. Hosts are welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.

Pleasant stay

We just stayed one night. Owners are very nice and the place has an amazing views of knysna.  You can leave the car in the lodge and walk to the dockyard. Breakfast was perfect with homemade jam, English breakfast...
The bedroom was comfortable and we had a little balcony with views to knysna.

Perfect little lodge

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the courtyard rooms which was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Mart who instantly made us feel welcome and gave us lots of good information about the local area. Our room was spacious and just outside the room was a lovely courtyard to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. There was a lovely swimming pool in the garden which was also a great place to relax.
It was a short walk, down steps to the shopping centre, tourist information centre and restaurants and a little further to the waterfront.
A lovely breakfast was served on the terrace with wonderful views.
We would be very happy to stay here again and overall found it to be good value.
