The room was not cleaned proper, the size was a hot smaller, overall the experience was great, customer service was the best. However cleaning needs serious attention as on my day two, I picked even linen was not up to standard. 

Excellent there is always room for improvement, microwave was not working was changed quickly, however the room was not

Apartment living meets hotel. Good to have self-catering options coupled with hotel amenities, especially ahead of a marathon where home comforts and routine is welcomed. Our request for a late check out after the marathon was permitted and the team was very understanding of our individual needs. 

Deloitte Marathon weekend away

Drop off parking a bit of a challenge as taxi had to park at the robot and could be a hindrance to passing traffic. Reception good and friendly.Lifts a bit hidden and not readily visible. Rooms are fine but self catering utensils could be superfluous if one is not coming for weekend of specifically requires self catering. M not sure of other rooms but this could be redundant as and unnecessary cost for the hotel. In dining service fine and check out fine. However shortcoming is a shuttle service to and from the hotel, which `I would strongly recommend. Otherwise a fine hotel with exquisite ambiance

GOOD HOTEL TO STAY IN

The Hotel is very beautiful and it boasts with very nice facilities, it close to the Gateway Theatre in Umhlanga. Pleasant and friendly staff. It is in a very peaceful area of Durban👌🏾👏🏾. I recommend it to those who like a beautiful couple's or business retreat. 

Uburn Park Hotel

First thing I loved about the apartments was it's proximity to an array of restaurants.😍 The pool & gym make you feel like you are home away from home.😛 Was quite disappointed by the bunny chow I had though😩 The apartment was quite clean and cosy😊⭐⭐⭐

Urban Affair in Umhlanga

Spent 4 nights there. The rooms are spacious albeit that our room had no view. We looked straight into a concrete wall. Rooms were clean, well furnished and had all the essentials needed even if you wanted to self cater.
Unfortunately there were some concerns. Check in was laborious with a very disinterested staff member. 
Then there were no towels in the room and later we discovered no hairdryer. We had to phone reception to sort this out and housekeeping took forever to deliver these items to the room.
My other peeve was the hotels inability to clear room service dishes that piled up in the passage. Some stood for almost 24 hours. 
Management should be addressing these issues.

Not bad value for money but needs more active management

Not what we expected for a 3-star hotel. The bed linen was torn and the basin leaked. The staff is really helpful and friendly but the standard of the hotel is not as it should be as. To be honest I will rather look for a different hotel next time due to poor up keeping.  

Not like the website

Booked at Urban Hotel on a friday and was looking forward to having a bunny chow as I know durban makes the best. Upon booking at the hotel and exploring the building, we found a restaurant with a bunny chow special as their friday promotion. 

Was really excited about that and proceeded to order. They even offered to bring it up our rooms which I though was courteous. The bunny show arrived and looked delectable to the eye. However, turned out to be one of the worst bunny chows I've had, the mutton was not tender at all and the spices weren't blended in to provide that rich curry flavour. You could still see the onions. The chicken bunny chow wasn't pleasant as well. The meat was tough and on the bone. Very strange because they used thighs and drumsticks which really provide good flavour when cooked thoroughly. 

This is one place I wouldn't recommend for a bunny chow, or maybe if I go on another day. The only saving grace was the service and the price.
