We spent three nights at this beautiful B&B in Franschoek in February. Spacious room and bathroom, tasteful decor, beautiful garden with a swimming pool and each room with a private terrace .  Each morning the hostess served us a tasty, ample and fresh breakfast.  Everyday the owner came by to enquire whether everything was o.k.  Five minutes away from the Main Street and restaurants in Franschoek and yet quiet and peaceful.  Wish we had more time to enjoy the
place.

Beautiful B&B, great hostess

Beautiful guest house on a small private vineyard tucked into the mountains around Franschhoek in the Western Cape.  Large room and sitting area with huge bathroom.  Very well built with lots of details.  Breakfast is cooked to order and served in a beautiful common area.  Hosts are staff are wonderful and very helpful.  The gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained.  Franschhoek town is 5min away with plenty of restaurants.  Dozens of vineyards in the area and the famous wine tram is available.  

Beautify guest house in a vineyard surrounded by mountains

This guest farm is an absolute gem. We were so fortunate to be able to stay 4 nights in Room 4. The setting overlooking the Franschoek mountain and the absolute peace that surrounds this guest farm, makes it a haven to stay there. The huge rooms with lounge, dressing room and a superb bathroom an outside shower in an enclosed courtyard off the bathroom and a patio overlooking the olive trees and mountains is just magnificent. The decor is perfectly put together by Jaques. Mariette is a wonderful manager and nothing is too much for her to make sure that your stay is perfect. Thank you for the wine, Jaques. 
I cannot wait for another opportunity to revisit The Terraces. Thank you to all of you for making our mini break memorable.

Stunning guest house minutes outside of Franschoek.

We had a fantastic stay! I’m so happy we found The Terraces @ Chambray estate. From the moment we arrived, Mariette took such great care of us! The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculately clean and neat but my favourite were definitely  the setting and the views. Not too far from town but far enough to feel that you are really experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside. I can’t wait to visit Franschoek again so we can stay at The Terraces once again.

Fantastic!

Out of this world - stunning views, great room and pool, amazing breakfast and hospitality. Within easy reach of town but also you feel like you are in a little world of your own. Felt very thankful we came across this place online when we were looking for places to stay. We were even given some complementary wine from the vineyard by the very friendly and hospitable owner Jacques when we left. We did the wine tram (a must!) and used Absolute Transfers who did a very efficient door to door service. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

A stunning stay in Franschhoek

We stayed here for 4 nights while attending a wedding in Franschhoek. We were delighted with our choice. The location was spectacular. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The owner Jacques greeted us every morning and was welcoming and accommodating and his hostess Joannie was friendly and made us feel so at home. Nothing was too much effort and they worked round us e.g. Joannie came back to clean our room in the afternoon after we had left for the wedding so we could take our time enjoying our breakfast, relaxing by the pool and take our time getting ready. We were so grateful for this as it worked so well for us. Breakfast was delicious! We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend this venue to any couple wanting a relaxing break. It is a 10 min drive into town but private and secure enough that you feel like you are truly on holiday away from the Hustle and bustle of a tourist centre.
The gardens are gorgeous as well! Our friends stayed all round Franschhoek and after many conversations we clearly had the most perfect spot!

Gorgeous location, immaculate accommodation with modern decor, delicious breakfast & out of this world customer service.

We have just returned from our third visit to Chambray and can confirm that it really is the best place to stay in Franschhoek. The location is phenomenal and the beautiful gardens and swimming pool provide the perfect spot to gaze at the mountains. The bedrooms are stunning (and huge!) and no detail has been forgotten, from the (good!) hairdryers to the lovely toiletries, tea and coffee, chocolates on arrival and minibar of goodies. Jacques and Joni are the absolute best of the best when it comes to looking after you, and the breakfast on your private veranda is the highlight of the day! Thank you again - we'll be back, for sure.

Heaven

We have stayed there in October 2017, but until now we have been to lazy to create an account or wanted to share our beautiful experience because we wanted this amazing “secret place” for us. 
The owner Jacques made our stay very special and so beautiful that we have said right when we left that we have to come back when we will visit South Africa again. 
Everything is created and presented with so much love that I am not able to explain how special our stay was. 
Every time we talk about this place we start dreaming of going back. 
If you ever plan to visit Franschhoek you won’t be disappointed if you stay with Jacques and his special team.

Loveliest place ever

we stayed two nights in this lovely place and were sorry to have to leave. the room was beautiful with a superb shower room, the view at the back was fab with a lovely pool and the breakfast was amazing each morning served on the terrace by Jonie a lovely lady. the owner Jacques is a really friendly man who likes to greet his guests every day with a smile and a chat. this was a lovely relaxing experience for us and we would love to stay there again, it is only 5 mins from the town.

a wonderful memory to take home.

My husband and I spent 2 incredible nights here, I wish it could have been for longer! The views were amazing, the backdrop of the mountains behind the pool and the gardens were beautiful. The room was large and the shower super powerful! Jaques and Joney were so friendly and breakfast was out of this world! Breakfast was served on our patio and so much choice of food! Easy 5 minute cab into town and we walked to Stoney Brook vineyard in a few minutes for a lovely wine tasting. Would recommend 100%, and hope I can come back and visit again! Thanks so much!
