Breathtaking scenery and lovely hotel. The rooms are very confortable and Cody. The staff are super helpful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the hotel is located very close to all of the boutiques and restaurants of Franschhoek.

What a view. What a setting. Beautiful gardens with the picturesque backdrop of the Franschhoek Mountains. And the attention to every detail is amazing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with everything you may need for a fabulous stay.

The wife and I truly believe that this boutique hotel and its magnificent mountain views are among the top 5 estates in Franschhoek - A mere 3.5km from the town and with its own restaurant too, which is exclusive to in-house guests - All the rooms and suites are far above the average size and individually furnished - The views remind of villages in Switzerland, however with its own gardens, likely more exquisite and breathtaking - The property is near most of the top wine estates and eateries - Our Host, Vanessa left a lasting and memorable experience - The lady is exceptional in more ways than one and committed to exhaust all avenues to ensure the utmost satisfaction of all guests - The property is safe and extremely neat and the attention to detail should impress just about all - This is a must visit for at least 3 nights when in Franschhoek - Well done Vanessa - Will highly recommend to all.

Worthy of a 5* Grading

We had an excellent stay at Fransvliet. We stayed in the individual Garden Rooms which were large and spacious and far exceeded expectation. The service and attention to detail was next level from arriving back in the evenings to our fireplaces being lit and heated blankets switched on. The breakfast was delicious and filled us up for the days. A very special time was had by our group of four.

Home away from home

What an awesome experience! We stayed in the Manor house for a week.Absolutely 7 star quality! The experience of our stay was out of this world! The staff is friendly and very professional! The Fransvliet estate is situated close to town and central to all amenities!The  owners, Brian and Vee is very involved to make our stay unforgettable experience!
We will definitely return again soon!

Fantastic experience!

Victor and the team are so helpful but also give time and space to chill out and relax.  The room is beautiful and spacious. And everything has been thought of. The location is ideal for going into Franschoek but also visiting other parts of the Winelands.

Lovely winelands stay

Accommodation was first class. The gardens in pristine condition. We had breakfast in the beautiful Manor house which was excellent.

Estate is 5 minute drive from centre of Franshoek which was suitable for us. Tranquil and views all around us.

Staff so helpful and pleasant especially Victor.

Beautiful gardens and views too. Excetionally caring family owned boutique vineyard.

Home Away from Home

We stayed at the Fransvliet Self-Catering Country Cottage in November 2022. What a time to visit, with the gardens in full bloom, wonderful weather and colours that no camera can catch. 

Fransvliet Estate is a small and personal estate that shows the owner`s love and care to their property in every detail. The cottage is way more spacious than the picture can even show, with the highest ceilings, 2 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with big walk-in showers and a bath in each (most comfortable evening spent here with a good bottle of wine and views of the garden from the bath!). The kitchen has everything you will ever need for your stay, even a dishwasher which makes life with 4 people really easy.

A really good bean to cup coffee machine gives you to the perfect start to the day and the fire place ends it perfectly.
