First of all: the breakfast we had was one of the best we ever had! The hosts are very nice and pleasant, you feel very welcomed. Yes, the room is a bit small and it's not brand new but considering the location it's very good value for the money. 

Very nice host, fantastic breakfast

Hosts were down to earth, made me feel like an old friend. Room was really comfy and spacious and the view from the deck would make you want to linger longer. Breakfast was scrumptious and served with my table facing the bay.

Peacful, friendly, beautiful views, homely and comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at Beach & Bay. The hosts were helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. It was our first time in Cape Town and they were very kind in giving us lots of useful information. The breakfasts were incredible and different each day. It was great starting each day with the lovely view from the deck. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The little touches in the room were great; the snacks, milk in the fridge and the helpful tourism brochures. The location was very good with Fish hoek beach being just a short walk away. We also loved meeting Jax, the adorable dog :) Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely

We spent two nights at Beach and Bay B&B. Our host was delightful and made us feel very welcome indeed. We had friends with us so our group occupied both guest rooms and we had the place to ourselves. We were invited to make ourselves completely at home - after many nights in hotels this was very enjoyable. 
Breakfast both mornings was delicious, with beautiful table settings. And nothing beats that view from the deck! 
Rooms were smaller than expected but very comfortable and clean, with big fluffy towels. We spent most of our time out and about anyway so room size was not an issue. Thoughtful touches included fresh milk in the bar fridge, lovely toiletries, an international power adaptor and local tourism brochures. 
Fish Hoek beach just metres away and restaurants and shops all in walking distance. We'll definitely go back! 

Warm and inviting, fabulous views

Hosts Sue and Stephen provide all the creature comforts you could ask for when travelling but note that you will be part of their household.  We found this enjoyable and interesting, but some might prefer a more private suite with a separate entrance, etc. Also note that there are over 30 steps up to the living area of the house. The two guest rooms are bedrooms in their home that have been remodeled to include a private bath for each of them. They are bedrooms at the back of the house without any view, although the larger room has a tiny terrace. That said, both bedrooms are lovely and well  equipped for a pleasant stay. We had the smaller room for 3 nights and found the bed very comfortable,  with crisp linens. The bathroom was beautiful with lovely spa products. A mini fridge allowed us to store some drinks and snacks. Also provided are flat screen TV, free WiFi, and a nice assortment of snacks and little treats, a kettle with cups and assorted teas and coffee. It is a very small room and you must sit on the bed to have your coffee, etc.  The other room is a fair bit larger and has a small sofa but the bathroom is smaller. Once there, you'll be encouraged by the hosts to relax in their very lovely and comfortable living area that offer stunningly beautiful views of the sea and town. The hosts retreat to their entertainment area in the lower level and give you complete privacy upstairs. A walkway to the beach is steps away, as is a very good restaurant and shops. Parking is available on site. The hosts are friendly yet professional and never intrusive and we felt very relaxed while there. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful, the table meticulously set with lovely linens and all the details one finds in a fine dining establishment, including a breathtaking view. All in all, very good value for travellers who enjoy personally connecting, however briefly, with people who live and work in their travel destination. Ideally suited to couples and single travellers.
