The owner was really nice and helpfull,The area was quiet.

Booking and all pre-arrangements uncomplicated, friendly contact from the very beginning. We have been highly delighted by the warm welcome upon arrival. Rooms are clean and comfortable with individually designed interieur. The big veranda invites you to spend the evenings sitting outside, reading, talking... a nice garden with historic displays (museum), flying foxes, giant turtles, etc. completes the site. The continental breakfest with fried eggs and fruits (sometimes it could have been more local fruits) fits you for the daily excursions. Jeannine and Steve doing all efforts to let you have a pleasant and comfortable stay in a friendly and family like athmosphere and are very flexible when additional wishes and requests are coming up.
This time we did not use the dinner service - the smell from the kitchen was always extremly seductive indeed - we wil try next time.
The location is practicable to explore Praslin Island, Bus stations are nearby, bank and restaurants are in working distance and Cote D'Or beach can be reached within a few minutes.

Be guest of a local family

We (couple age 51) stayed there for 5 nights end of March 2014 and we had a great stay at this charming, very friendly guesthouse. It is situated in a beautiful garden near the beach (5 minutes’ walk) and next to a bus stop, but you can also walk into town at Anse Volbert (approx. 10 minutes). The guesthouse is run by Steve and Jeanine (they have a sweet little daughter Hilka) and we were welcomed by Jeanine very warmly with great bio-fruit juice. We stayed in the main house in a large and very spacious clean room with beautiful massive wood furniture and much space in the closets to put our clothes in. The bed was comfortable with a moscito-net over it (though we didn’t need it because there were absolutely no moscitos). We had aircondition as well as a standing fan in our room as well as a small refridgerator which was very handy so we always had cool water. The rooms are secured by a security system which you can activate when leaving the room. Most of all we liked the delicous meals cooked by Steve with freshly caught fish and delicous tropical salads, vegetables and rice, which were the best meals we got during our 2 weeks’ holidays in the Seychelles! Steve really is a great cook who knows how to prepare good fish! The breakfeast was also very good with fresh fruit, toast, jam, sometimes cheese and coffee or tea and fruit juice, served by Jeanine or the friendly staff. Steve and Jeanine were very kind and helpful in renting a car, which we asked for upon our arrival and the next morning it was brought there right after breakfast. Steve also offered to phone to the Lemuria hotel so we could get to breathtakingly beautiful Anse Georgette, which we liked even better than Anse Lazio. We liked the atmosphere during dinner and conversations with other guests, one evening we even had a birthday party celebrating the 9th birthday of a guest’s son where also the owners Steve and Jeanine joined and we learned very interesting things about everyday life in the Seychelles. We hope to be able to return there soon!

It was a good place at the Price. Near Beach and restaurants. The host was very helpfull and kindness.

Our stay next to beautiful nature and in 10 Minutes walking distance to the beach was great! The cooking is very good and the owners were helping us with any of our requests. It is located at the outer borders of the small town. Don't forget to bring a light for your return and anti moskito.

Close to Nature

I visited this the praslin museum a while ago and since it was a very charming place in June 2013 we booked 5 nights HB in September this year.
We stayed in both bungalow rooms, which weren't very pretty (except for a very pretty mirror frame) but ok, sadly not really well cleaned. Bathroom towels were rather stinky and old and flushing wasn't working properly.
The staff tried to be nice, Steve (the owner) was very helpful with booking extra trips and nothing was ever a problem - he would take care of everything - sadly, sometimes he had to be reminded a few times, for example when we tried to check the ferry timetable. 
The dinner was quite nice - a fish every day with rice and choice of salads, but it was very hard for us to eat fish for 5 days in a row! 
The museum itself is rather poor, we had one free tour included in our stay - once we found time to do it we got a rather uninteresting to few minutes with a very fast talking man.
I wouldn't recommend this place, I think you can do better on Anse Volbert

Nice, but I wouldn't recommend it

They said that our booking was cancelled even though we had received confirmation of our booking. We were not given any information about the place and facilities available with the excuse due to the confusion of our booking. Stephen was kind enough to drop us off at the local clinic. Stephen's wife,daughter and staff were all very pleasent. We only found out about the place was also a museum after we left from the taxi driver. It's okay if you are looking for a quick stop. Looks like this place is under renovation or something. Overall it was an okay place,not much to rave about.

Booking cancellation confusion

A bunch of bats in a small cage where they cannot fly. Made me want to rescue the animals And let Them free. Also 2 roosters in an extremely small cage. Otherwise good. Would have given 5 stars but because of the animals, I rate 1 star.  To the Owner: please let the bats out.

Animal abuse

Do not stay here! Dirty, broken, full of bugs. I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived.
