You are welcomed by people who seem nice at first but on when you get to your room you realize what a terrible place that is! The room was incredibly small only could fit two beds, you can barely move around. You can't open the windows and we had to ask for an extra heater because there was no other source of heat. When you go to the kitchen/owners office/free Wi-Fi space you are watched by the owner's wife who simply sits there without saying a word. You can't sleep because other people are making too much noise. I love dogs but the owners dog is kept in a cage that is right next to the path outside, the dog is barking like crazy every time you pass by.  So if you want a nice and quiet place to stay- The Garden is the worst place! This hostel Is giving a terrible first impression of Serbia if you come there for the first time.

Worst Place ever!

I was travelling with two friends around Europe and The Garden Hostel was the best place we've been. Milosh and his family were impecable, the rooms were great and with great conditions but the best of everything was get to know him and his family. His parents were the nicest people and his dad even cooked us lunch one time. Milosh also took us to a club and to have dinner and told us a lot about Nis history. We had a great time and I really miss those guys. If you see this, best to you Milosh and your family.

Hostel godny polecenia na odpoczynek w podróży. Mimo późnej pory przybycia (ok.23) zostaliśmy z uśmiechem przywitani przez gospodarza, bez zbędnych ceregieli ulokowani w pokojach, a na dobry sen poczęstowani własnej roboty rakiją :) 
Pokoje są schludne i czyste, łazienki również , a posiłek można spożyć w przytulnym ogrodzie przygryzając pomidorki serwowane przez gospodarza.
W drodze powrotnej również skorzystaliśmy z usług hostelu.

This cosy hostel is run by the very warm and friendly Trifonović family. It is located in the ancient city of Niš, just outside the city centre. It has a nice garden, and they grow their own vegetables. We immediately felt at home and part of the family!  
Great service, hospitality, and helpfulness. They speak perfect English and can tell you many anecdotes from their time with the royal family of Kuwait, while you drink a perfect home-brewed glass of rakia or enjoy a local flavoured BBQ.
