This is a lovely hotel - very comfortable, bry central and very clean and with such friendly and helpful staff. Timi, the receptionist, couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. The hotel had an alpine theme in the rooms - our bedroom was very quiet by the way - which was very appropriate to beautiful Transylvania. I would highly recommend this hotel. I only wish they did breakfast too. We went to the nearby Mimosa for breakfast - which was terrible - cold food, wrong order and slow service although we were the only customers. Avoid it. Every other restaurant we visited in Sighisoara was wonderful.

Superb location out of citadel but only 5 minute walk up the hill
Nice courtyard can buy coffee but no restaurant but lots of little cafes restaurants right outside especially one on corner with turrets
Beautiful suite lounge with pull out bed bathroom bedroom faultless for £59 night for 3 of us 
Parking outside on street 2.50 for 24 hours  very clean and comfortable bed

better not to eat than to be treated so badly, services of the worst quality, food of bad quality but scum.

Don’t come here!

What we have found:
Very filthy room with an intense toilet odor.
We have announced the reception but it seems that nothing can be done…seems like there is a standard for dirt here!
Too bad that the location is great.
This hotel needs another management for sure.

Please avoid

The rooms are large, including the bathrooms, but here the height is limited. At the first floor the bath was unusable for me (190 cm), as the maximum height in the bathtube is ca 160 cm.
The staff is helpfull an warm.
Unfortunatelly they don't offer any meal, no breakfast, only a coffee in the morning if you ask specifically.
The rooms have a limited external light and the floor is very noisy.
Overall is a good experience.

Excellent location and large rooms

I don’t even know how to properly speak about this. The staff of the hotel was amazing. The receptionist was an incredible woman and she was so nice to us during the whole séjour. The room was wonderful, clean, equipped with all that you would ever need. The emplacement of the hotel is absolutely perfect because you’re near the stairs that are going up to the citadel and also you’re close to all restaurants, shops, coffee and wine bars, pharmacies etc. I really think it’s the perfect location. 
The wooden floors are truly a little bit noisy but this is a very unimportant aspect in my opinion. The place is too nice for anyone to find what in Romanian we say ,,nod în papură”. 
Will definitely come back because we loooooved it!!!!

Large room with a four poster bed. We had a lovely view out into the old town. 

Annoying that we (well my husband) had to carry the suitcases to the room in the third floor as no lift. 

The room itself was comfortable but slightly dated. We didn't see much of the staff so can't make many comments there.

This review is regarding the camping conditions at Camping Restaurant Villa Franka and the manager who looks after both the camping and the restaurant.

My family and I had camped here upon crossing the whole of Europe and Romania, and we find it fair to say that this has been the most disgusting and one of the most expensive campsites we have seen. Starving stray dogs and ill puppies barking all night, and not letting us use the showers and toilets. Showers that have probably never been cleaned and that did not have a lock on the door, making us feel unsafe. Grass that has never been cut and old benches that have never seen a layer of paint.

But worst of all... the manager who cannot care less about what lies behind the beautiful facade of the site. While the waiters had listened to our complaint and dealt with it patiently the next day, we had been asked to speak to the manager who could apparently support with this. We decided to wait for her, which we understood that she was not happy about when she was close to running us over with her SUV as she arrived at the campsite. She got out of the car pretending that she couldn’t speak English, but unluckily for her I spoke her language. I calmly explained to her why we felt unsafe and dissatisfied upon which she started shouting at us like a spoilt child and saying that we have actually paid too little (110lei/night) for her miserable facilities. PS: they were initially going to charge us 150lei which would have been the fare that they’d charged during the medieval festival the weekend before. She then told us that the fact that we are complaining about such issues tells a lot about what types of people we are?! She denied any accusation of the showers being dirty (picture attached), and she said that the stray dogs were ‘forest dogs’ 😂 which she couldn’t get rid of. She proceeded to develop a monster of an argument in front of all of her employees who were lined up for the show, shouting at them as well as at us, and telling them to kick us out and never take such tourists again. Furthermore, she told us to ‘go kill the dogs ourselves’ on multiple occasions, which has raised our concerns regarding the way in which she believes is right to deal with these animals. She then shouted at her waiters asking them to give us 50% of the money back and get rid of us. 

We are absolutely baffled by this woman’s rude and violent character, and resistance to accepting fault and making a positive change for the customers that provide her wages. There are so many nice places to camp and eat around Sighişoara. I would suggest you AVOID this vile place by any means.

Shocking Camping Conditions and Management

The room and the bathroom was huge and comfortable. The location was great either. 
They let us do the check in before the right time and that was great. 

The wifi was poor. It only works in some places of the room. 
The bathroom has a terrible smell of sewer. Very strong. And there was a licking on the bath area. Flooded all the bathroom. 

Check in after 4pm is so unfair. You enter at 4pm and has to leave at 11am. 

The breakfast costs 5 euros and it’s nice and well served.
