A lot cheaper than staying in Gorlitz, about the same distance from Gorlitz railway station as the centre of the old town of Gorlitz (but quite a stiff walk up and down hill) and about the same distance itself from the old town of Gorlitz (but mostly a pleasant walk along the bank of the river. I had a large room. There is no plumbing at all in the rooms, if you want a glass of water or anything you need to go out across the corridor to the bathroom. At the beginning of September, there was no heat in the rooms or the bathrooms and the bathrooms could be cold. There was a kettle and a fridge on the corridor; the fridge was noisy but the door of my room was close fitting and I slept OK.

Dom Turysty is a type of budget accommodation, located 300 meters from the border bridge. My room was clean, spacious and with the balcony that looks out onto the park. On this occasion, since it was just one night, I did not mind the shared bathrooms, which apparently were cleaner than in many 3 or 4 star-hotels, Also, much to my surprise, on each floor guests are provided with refrigerators to keep their drinks/ beer cool and with kettles if you care for a cup of tea or coffee. Last but not the least, all of this at a very bargain price.

A nice and very inexpensive experience for one night

The reception staff very nice and that is about it. Bathrooms outside, scary corridors, no lifts, in the centre of dead town. It is a place where would not want to stay. The rooms were big, but the heating goes off around 3 am, so you sleep in a cold room.

Scary Place

The Dom Turysty is a combination of a very basic boarding house and a hostel with shared bathrooms and toilets but although it is in need of some decor renewal it is clean and comfortable and the Wifi reception is first class. The personnel are friendly and helpful and a very nice lady in the kitchen will cook you a tasty breakfast. Location is central and there is a good pub/restaurant right next door. A very different experience from a conventional hotel at a bargain price. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed but don't expect an Ibis.

Not a deluxe hotel but a friendly place to stay.

Wygodni i tani nocleg. Cicho, ciepło, blizko do parku i fajnej restauracji. Dom Turysty to akurat prawidłową nazwa. Polecam dla turystów :)
Сomfortable and cheap hotel. Quiet,  warm and park with a nice restaurant are nearby. It has truly the name that describes the place. I can advise it for travellers.
