I simply needed a place to sleep the night, preferably close to the train station. Didn't pay much for the night but didn't get much in return. A standard room with rather poor light isolation, the bed was neither bed nor good. The washroom is available, but it is just beside the "lobby" and entrance so you better take all the stuff you need with you, unless you have absolutely no problem walking around half naked or just in a towel.
As a Pole I can't say anything about the language skills of the staff.

No hype

Booked this hotel 6 months in advance of Euro 2012, made payment upfront for double room and all seemed good. In the time waiting to travel got 36 e-mails from this hotel with varying topics from 6 times being asked what time i will arrive to 4 times being asked to confirm payment! And then the mail saying I was charged wrongly and please forward double payment two weeks before I travelled! We came to an agreement on a single room as I was travelling alone!
 Those annoying facts aside I arrived at the reception, where I was promptly moved to another property 200 metres down the road where there was no reception and no security. The rooms I can only compare to what I would imagine is a brothel! down to the love heart pillow! 
Two hours later as I was down the town I received an e-mail saying I was a no-show and wanted payment of 270pln compensation!!?? I replyed that I had checked in and did not receive a reply! 
Upon returning to the hotel(loose term) it was getting dusky and I did not feel safe at all so I abandoned ship and stayed at a more expensive hotel up the road which I was lucky enough to get. Saying to myself I will deal with the Pensjon in the morning.
Next morning arrived and I received an e-mail on my phone stating that the hotel was closed due to lack of hot water and I had to find alternate accomodation. i dropped back the key and looked for compensation for my stay which was refused and still is to this day almost 4 months later with the excuse that the plumbing is not their fault! Unbelievable place! Worst service worst accomodation, worst everything!

Shambles from Start to.....early Finish

I got attracted to this place cause I needed a cheap place for a 3-days stay in Poznan. Even though I am a seasoned traveller and quite spartan, this place had been the worst place I ever stayed in. The staff doesn't speak a single word of english and they communicated with me through sms, asking about departure time, where I should leave the key...
The cell I was given was on the opposite side of the bathroom, and I had to cross the reception area to get there. Not nice when you want to go to the loo or have a shower. The furniture was cheap ikea-style, and I could not sleep for the first night because of the creaking bed. After that, I just threw the mattress on the floor. At that stage, I remarked that a broken glass had been swiped under the bed, the cleaning staff did not even bother, it might have been there for quite some time, and might still be there. The worst part (and the funniest) was when I came back after a day in town to find a small crowd in front of the house. A guest had locked us out. After 50 minutes, the owner came around, got in through a back window and opened the main door for us. I was knackered by then (the hotel is 35 minutes away on foot from the marketplace) and I thanked the Lord for this mattress on the floor. That was thinking without the street chaos (a chinese restaurant a couple of doors away and a late shop) that did not allow me to have a minute of sleep. Unless you're used to sleeping in the jungle or are up for nasty experiences, avoid this place at all costs. You've been warned.
