I stayed at Apuvilla for two months July-September 2016. I run a non-profit that benefits the schools of the Colca Valley. Jhairo, Nixon, James and Hugo made my room at Apuvilla my new home in Yanque. They accomodated me with furniture for my room so I could work effectively and provided support for my charity by loading the truck and storing equipment at the hotel. James is an excellent chef. These are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I consider them my frienfs. The lodge is beautiful and full of light. The view is spectacular. You will have to accept certain shortcomings from any place you stay in the Colca Valley. Be prepared for the cold. But the people and the atmosphere at Apuvilla are warm, welcoming and accomodating. I will be living here for two months again next year.

My new family

The hotel is supposed to be a luxury villa but it seems to be not enough guests in June. We stayed only one night . It was quite cold in the common areas and the food that was served was good but cold already when it was served. The surrounding area is  incredibly beautiful and the hotel for us was just a bed under a roof but I expected more based on the price and the description on the web. Apuvillan is located high in the Andes and a good distance from nearby villages . The surroundings are really beautiful and there are opportunities for hiking or walking.

We came in couples, the atention was sloppy, there are a lot of services not aviable they say It will be finish for june, services like the spa or a continious flow of hot water were a problem, still the owners seem very honest hope next time they will improve everything 

Average still underconstruction

This place has potential but it's not finished! As a result the website feels misleading and as a guest you feel cheated. This is still largely a building site with dust everywhere and little atmosphere. The hot water ran out in no time, complimentary toiletries were half-filled, floor dirty and room heated by a patio heater (everywhere else was freezing)! The two people running the place were trying their best and I felt sorry they were in this position but really they should close down and re-open once they're ready to do the surroundings and the plan justice.

Flabbergasting 

This hotel is still under construction. There are a lot of thing that it does not have. There's no hot water, no restaurant, no front desk, only 2 people "working" in the hotel, no heating. The location it's great but the hotel isn't. Too expensive for what they're offering. The door to the bathroom doesn't even close. There's no privacy between the hot tub and the bed, not even in rooms with 2 beds. Their lobby is where they iron the sheets. A lot of places without electricity or lightbulbs. Just look at the pictures.
