Guide Bastian gave us 3 days of great tours - taking us to Sandoval Lake and vicinity (awesome!), on jungle walks, river trips for clay licks and cayman searching, plus other activities like kayaking, canopy ziplining, and harvesting edible plants - a packed few days with relaxed time at a simple, functional and relaxed lodge. Bastion’s knowledge of the forest and its creatures was great - on one day we saw 3 monkey species, lake otters, many birds, frogs, insects, etc.

3 day jungle tours

Fantastic!  The excellent rating is not because it is a 5*  hotel, but because it is what I hope is the future of Ecotourism.  If you are looking for an isolated  adventure in the Amazonian jungle, but with exquisite planning of the facility, this is it.  There was no need for the emergency mosquito net I brought, because a very adequate net hung from the ceiling to give complete coverage if needed. (I did not hear a single mosquito buzzing). Be prepared for only cold water in the immaculate bath and light from a candle at night, since electricity is on only a few hours in the P.M.  There are charging stations in the lobby.  The employees are outstanding and it is apparent they really want to be there and want their visitors to have an unforgettable experience.
This is a well earned 5 star review.  Thank you to all who planned, maintain, and share this beautiful facility.

An Unforgettable Experience in the Jungle

Just completed a 3 day tour with this company. utterly magical and beyond exceeded any expectations we had. 
superb organisation and communication from start to finish. incredible value for money.
we were so looked after, including catering superbly for vegetarian diet.
we upgraded to a bungalow (only 10 usd per person and definitely worth it).
without doubt our incredible guide Marcos
made this tour the best experience. he was just amazing in his knowledge about,  and  ability to spot wild life was next level.  we saw snakes, frogs, monkeys, parrots, sloth, the most beautiful flora and fauna. got to hold a baby camen that he just plucked out of the water! the list is endless! 
our boat skipper, Hilmer was so friendly and skilled, maneuvering the boat through tight spots and so we could get up close to animals without disturbing them.
can't recommend this tour highly enough. would 100 % use again.

Jungle trip

Fantastic experience: lots of great activities from spotting the monkey, watching the famous parrots lick the red clay, kayaking down the amazing Madres de dios river and a night tour to find jungle creatures. Brilliant guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great meals. Lovely relaxing lodge.

Tambopata 4 day jungle tour

We had an amasing time at the lodge.
Gonzalo is a great guide with a lot of
knowledge when it comes to the jungle. The
rest of his team took great care of us and
made sure our every need was met. We could see all the things we wanted to see. I highly

A good experience in the jungle 

Thanks to our guide Marco's we had a great time in Puerto Maldonado and in Tampopata Reserve. Especially the tour to Lago Sandoval is nice! We definitely recommend the hostel and the tour options there.

Great Experience in Peruvian jungle!

Excellent experience all around! It was a very affordable three-day, two night tour which was perfect for me.  Be prepared for rustic accommodations in a cabin with electricity only in the evening hours.  The food was great and my tour guide was the best!  Everyone was always on time and very attentive.

Great Amazon experience

We spend 4 days, 3 nights with Tambopata Jungle Tours. It was very good. We saw a lot of different animals ( kayman, giant otters, different monkey’s, different parrots, sloths, butterflies). We had a very good English speaking guide (Marcos) who told us passionately about all flora and fauna. The food was very good. Going to back to basic with mosquito nets. We recommend this trip for sure!

Very good option for jungle Tour Puerto Maldonado

This experience was so lovely it was a nice change of pace from our other tours around Peru. It was relaxing being in the jungle! Our tour guide Marcos was funny and engaging and we were able to see so much in our short visit. The food was so good and accommodating for vegetarians. If you want your own little slice of the amazon this is a perfect experience that left us wanting more.
