This is a great low cost place to stay in Iquitos. It's close to all the restaurants and the river. It's also only a two block walk to Plaza de Las Armas. It's a clean quiet place run by a very nice couple. Service is really good, the hotel is safe, and a nice simple breakfast with fresh juice is served to your room at the time of your choosing. The room air conditioning is good. Hot water is not always available but the bathrooms are nice and very clean.

I am infinitely grateful to be at Hostal Terra Bella, thank you for your help in different aspects and your honorable service and solidarity.
I definitely return very soon and always the favorite Hotel.

A good option of Accommodation.

No hot water or wifi.... anything else is a lie

We got in late to stay one night before or jungle tour departed the next morning. We had a hard time communicating with the guy at the front desk as we don't know any Spanish but it all worked out. Our Ron was right above the reception area and facing the street so lots of traffic noise going on all night. The room was big, bed comfy, shower was warm, tv and wifi worked. Breakfast in the morning was eggs and toast with a yogurt smoothie and coffee. Overall we were very pleased with what we got for our money. At the end of our jungle trip we were able to walk to a laundry place and have all our clothes done within 2 hours.

This was my second stay.  The first was on my way into the jungle, this one on the way back out.  A good place to overnight.  Near restaurants and the Plaza.

Iquitos for a night

Just an overnight stay on the way to the jungle.  Nothing fancy but clean and nice staff.

Iquitos Stopover

Iquitos is a chaotic city and its always nice to come back to a quiet, air conditioned, comfortable room. They have excellent service and staff, private showers, and tv for only about $20/night. They're also next to the best Internet cafes in downtown Iquitos and only 2 blocks from the main square. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through

My go-to in Iquitos

Stayed two nights at small family run hotel. It had air conditioned rooms, a nice on-suite bathroom and shower. Breakfast included for a very reasonable 80 sol a night. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there!

Good value for your money!

We were taken to Terra Bella, by the owner of Hostal Florentina. Florentina was full, and this guy was so gracious, walked us to Terra Bella and even negotiated a good deal for us. (We paid PEN 100, tariff list behind reception quoted a price of PEN 120 for a double room)
We loved our room at Terra Bella. It was very quiet (room 205) at the end of the corridor, and at the back. We weren't overlooked. 

It was clean, with a/c, cable TV, a fridge (no mini-bar) and a very good WiFi connection in the room. 

Breakfast is provided if you ask for it, (included in the room rate) and is bought to the room. It was adequate. You also have to ask for the room to be serviced - nothing is a problem if you ask, you just have to ask.
 
The staff were always helpful. We were able to leave luggage there while we went off to our jungle lodge, and when we returned, our bags were carried to our room, the a/c had been switched on - it felt very welcoming. 

Good location, close to the plaza. There's also a launderette directly opposite the hostal. 
The only minus was the cold shower. You need to ask for the water heater to be turned on in advance - a bit cumbersome. And when we did ask we still didn't have hot water - think something was lost in translation; our Spanish isn't brilliant.

Loved it!

I first stayed here last year and I liked it more than than I do now.  

On my last trip, the maids woke me up every morning because they were  laughing, talking and making noise in the hallways. I find that to be disrespectful towards the paying guests.  After 1100am it's quiet again, but then the damage has been done.  The only day they didn't wake me up was Sunday because I believe they get there later. If you haven't left your room by some certain time in the morning, your room doesn't get made up that day.  Breakfast is nothing great... instant coffee, juice, two rolls with no jam or butter, and a fried egg. You have to call by 8:59am to get the breakfast brought to your room. I only bothered with it the first morning.  Every day you want hot water to shower you have to call  the reception desk and ask for them to turn on the water heater; then you have to wait a half hour for the water to heat up.  People told me "well it's so warm and humid in Iquitos, why do you need hot water to bathe?"  And my answer is: "early in the morning the water is cold; later in the afternoon is fine, but don't expect me to shower in cold water first thing in the morning."  It doesn't make sense that they have a hot water system, but don't use it.  There were just too many annoyances and I don't think I'd stay here again.  Not sure where I'll go next time, but I will look around.  The moto-taxi drivers from the airport will take you all over to look at different hotels where they get a commission, and I've done that in Peru before... it actually works.
