146 reviewsAs Peruvians from the Sates we came here based on the literature that we had read online. Arriving at the end of a major local festival, Santiago, we were not ready for the intimate and unique experience we were going to partake in. This festival which occurs in August for the local animals and involves dancing, drinking, and eating the local food. The lodge had scheduled a festival for its staff and we were fortunate to take part in it. Wow. This was after a morning of sightseeing orchestrated by the incredibly helpful hotel staff. The view from our room was picture perfect. The tranquility, one of a kind. If you do stay in this oasis I recommend you do as we did and tour the surrounding areas which are packed with historical sites and wonders. One of our favorites was to go to the Tunanmarca archeological site which is nearby and is located atop a spectacular set of mountains. This is a site that will most likely become very popular once people realize its significance and view. You will need to walk up about 300 meters but it is a wonderful experience and view. Unique. Lastly, the staff at this lodge are incredibly knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. They have all the right connections to help you get where you need to go. We loved our three day stay there. Very good restaurant on site.
