La Casa de Pedro Hostel

We extended our stay in Encarnación as it's a friendly, safe, clean town with lots of eating options and an absolutely pleasant waterfront area that comes alive when the sun goes down. It is our favorite town of Paraguay. Reasonably priced La Casa de Pedro matches the friendly tone of the town. It is a convenient three block walk if you ask the bus driver to drop you at the Esso station on the corner of Cerro Corá assuming you are arriving from Asunción on Avienda Irrazábal (RN 1). From station, it's just about five blocks back. Possibly parking for motorbikes and maybe cars--should be confirmed. The hostel is newly opened and tidy with balconied rooms with shared hot water showers and daily room freshening, kitchen available for guests to use. Breakfast was toast, butter, coffee and milk. The staff was wonderfully friendly, Spanish speaking only and did a great job on our laundry. We hated to leave.
