If you want to experience nature in the mountains you should travel here. Beautiful and spectacular surroundings while living very well. Here is also a swimmingpool you can visit after a long walk on the mountain. We rented an apartment through Novasol and you can choose from many beautiful apartments in different sizes.
Its the perfect spot for skiing.

Very comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. There for the berkie and felt at home and like I was among friends. Very well located for Xc and downhill skiing with easy access to Lillehammer and all it has to offer. The food was excellent and very Norwegian with a well stocked bar. Suite 311 on the third floor had a view of the sunrise and sunset to die for and they gave me all the tea candles I wanted for a very romantic visit, Tusen takk !

The couple who are running the hotel is very nice, she i s norwegian and he is italian. Alongside a lot of fresh air you can also order good sport massage, very relaxing. Its a quiet place, a place to just take it easy :) Lillehammer is just 14 km away if you want some noise..

Being that it was August, we were one of only a few guests on the property. One night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant and we were the only diners. Can imagine this place is great in the winter. Our bathroom floor was heated. Beds were very comfortable. Our room was nice sized but our kids' room was rather small. Even though there weren't many guests, we were on a different floor and opposite end of the hotel from our teenaged kids -- didn't have rooms next to each other for us. Bring your own shampoo and soap! None is provided. The staff is VERY nice and friendly but the place closes down in the evening -- no one at the 'desk' after 10 or 11 at night and not again until 8 in the morning --at least in the summer. We had a key to the front door of the hotel (which was locked when we came home from a play at 1:45 AM) --it was kind of strange. Still, felt very safe. Would stay here again if in the area. Wi-fi is free if you stay in the main hotel. If you stay in one of the cottages, I think you only get 15" free a day - or something like that. Hotel is 12 kilometers up the hill from the center of Lillehammer. The Service Center Bakery about another kilometer up the hill has fantastic muffins in the morning for breakfast.

At Sportell you can rent appartments for a fair price. Situated in Nordseter and close to Lillehammer. Perfect in the winter for crosscountry skiing (tracks are just around the corner) and in the summer for hiking in the fjells.The appartements are fine and clean, big enough to have a comfortabel stay, with a kitchenette and a bathroom. There is a swimmingpool and sauna, a tabletennistable. You can als use the washing machines. Though I have not eaten here  myself,  I am told the restaurant is fine.
