I actually do not know where to begin.  Linnie and Peter are THE hosts with the most believe me.  The room with ensuite and a big walk-in wardrobe/storage room, looking out over the garden and fields beyond. The bed is huge and so so comfortable, the decor is superb, and we did not want for anything.  Breakfast was just the best, delicious.  Nothing was any bother. Really like home away from home but better, treated like very special guests.  Janice and Paul. 

A Room in the Countryside

The bedrooms are large and luxurious, with an ensuite with heated floors and central heating. The bed was very comfortable .
My hosts Linnie and Peter were fantastic , very easy to talk to and Linnie made a beautiful breakfast with all the accompaniments-spring flowers, silverware and delicious home made food all served on special tableware. 
Amberfields itself is located 7km from Te Awamutu, amongst 7 acres of farmland and is in a very quiet location, but not too far from the town.
The house is large , modern and has lovely furnishings.
I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and really enjoyed meeting these lovely people who are the perfect hosts.

Overnight stay at Amberfileds Bed and Breakfast

A perfect country setting and close to many local attractions.  We enjoyed meeting Linnie and Peter and sharing  their lovely home.  Our bedroom and ensuite was beautifully appointed and their hospitality was outstanding.  The amazing and delicious breakfast was sufficient to see us through till dinner.  The finer touches and treats made our stay even more special and memorable.  We will definitely be back to stay when we visit the Waitomo Caves.

Clean, Modern, Luxurious!

We arrived at Amberfields to be greeted warmly and shown our room. Linny has thought of every little thing to add that touch of luxury, chocolates ...chilled wine...smooth linens ....rose scented pillows! 
Loved getting to know our hosts - the breakfasts are Christmas morning level delicious.

Indulgent luxury within a beautiful surrounding + loveliest hosts ever

Linnie and Peter have a beautiful home which they generously share with travelers from near and far and their accommodation options are first class.   We chose Amberfields because it is all one level and one of the suites has a luxurious wet-floor bathroom ensuite, which my elderly Mum needed; the lovely pastoral setting is well back from the road and is quiet.    From the first minute we were greeted warmly and treated like family and our three-night stay was really not long enough.  The rooms are immaculate and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful extras and Linnie and Peter went out of their way to accommodate our special requests.    The hosts are well traveled themselves and understand what people need to feel comfortable in a home away from home setting.  

As ex-farmers it was delightful to be able to see the farm animals from the windows and an added bonus was having conversations and cuddles with Spike the cat in front of a roaring fire.   A truly delightful place to stay.

A lovely home away from home.

Found myself stuck in NZ for an extended holiday. Just called Linda and Peter hoping they would be back in business after covid lockdown. Sure enough they were happy to have visitors again. I stayed there back  in 2013 which they remembered and am glad to say the standard was still.as high and the welcome just as warm.and riendly. It is ideally situated for Hobbiton which was why we were in the area we  originally booked for 2 nights but felt so at home we stayed an extra night. Had breakfast every day and dinner on the last night. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict and roast lamb with apple pie.


Three nights of comfort after busy days

Linnie and Peter were the perfect hosts for our wedding event stay in Pirongia. Very welcoming couple, lovely home and property, great breakfasts, and all the extras details they had to offer. Our stay was wonderful!

What a trip! I spent 25 days traveling around New Zealand and never felt so warm and welcomed as I did in Amberfields! The home was sparkling clean and ready when we arrived, the owners were so sweet and welcoming, and the view was absolutely gorgeous. Every morning breakfast was tailored to my desire and the morning sun stretched across the property. Everything was perfect! My room was clean and made to feel like I was at home and the people were so nice! This was by far favorite place I stayed on both the north island and south island. Fantastic time! Fantastic people! Beautiful property! What a trip!

Trip of a Lifetime! 

My family and I loved our stay at Amberfields. Linnie and Peter were amazing hosts! We loved meeting the cows, chickens, and Spike the cat. Linnie was so helpful in helping us plan our time in New Zealand, all of her recommendations were excellent. We loved waking up to a delicious country breakfast after our best night of sleep in NZ. We stayed in 6 different hotels/BB on our trip and this was by far the best. The rooms and bathrooms were immaculate and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Amberfields. Peter and Linnie will take great care of you!

Excellent B&B

A superb farm-based and extremely well-appointed and comfortable B&B in a great Waitangi location. Spotless bedrooms - home-cooked cake and refreshments offered on arrival, beers supplied in fridge, chocolates - the whole schools! Offered great breakfasts and super local information. The hosts arranged a great tour of the adjacent Maori Pa and a local expert historian to tell us of its fascinating Anglo-NZ war history, including the winning of NZ's first VC. What an experience!
