+/+ Very friendly personnel and staff. Nice and modern ambience (due to renovated Army Barrack) and we liked the outfitting. Nice spacious room (Willem 1) with a good, comfortable and cozy kingsize bed. Nice and spacious bathroom with good shower (did not use the bath, but looked comfy as well). No television nor radio gave the room a bit of a positive zen and forced relaxation. Due to fact the Chef is ill/absent, the crew/staff created a 'mini menu' for the time being. Excellent cooking though and resulted in very tasty & flavorous dishes with exciting foods. Enjoyed the beautiful presentation as well. Even the special request from my wife, if the kitchen was able to serve an off the record dish, was granted and a nice piece of cod with delicious vegetables was served. For which many thanks again. You really deserve your star! The breakfast is good and sufficient as well. The Cappuccino is very good. Excellent and smooth check in/out. -/- Although a positive zen in the room, we missed the tv and at least a docking station, to be able to listen to some music. Housekeeping/maintenance dept could check the condition of the room (more) often. Check for clean/fixed drainage of the shower, and in the bathroom the timer of the light-sensor for the bathrooms (1 room 20 seconds, another room 2 minutes). Rooms at the North side are quite cold and Southside quite hot during sunny/Summer days. Restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays, so bit of a disappointment when checking out, which then is immediately checked 'out'(door). The Free parking is unfortunate always occupied by non-hotel-guests, and reservation is not possible.
