We have been guests for 4 nights and we are really happy about the decission to stay here. The manager and the staff and supernice and helpful. They took us the bus ticket to Inle Lake, being picked up in front of the hostel. The breakfast is THE BEST we have ever seen (and we try to travel a lot...). Lots of great quality and tasty local food! :P

Laundry service in one day also available and room is comfortable and totally clean. We definitely recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saw Nyein San Guest House. Very friendly staff,  accomadating of all of our needs, fantastic semi-traditional breakfast. We totally reccomend that you stay here and rent some eBikes to go see the Pagodas! Wonderful family business. 💕

Wonderful family business

Saw Nyein San Guesthouse is a place that I would highly recommend staying at due to the convenient location and hospitality of the owner. I stayed 2 nights here and the double bedroom was spacious. Air conditioning worked well, and so did the Wi-Fi. The toilet also had a bath tub and hot water was available. When I arrived at 6am by bus, I was able to check in immediately and get a good rest. The owner also has some good recommendations for food in the area. Rental of ebike was affordable at K8000 a day. When the tire was flat, a pickup truck came with a replacement ebike. Breakfast here was pretty filling. There was fruit, some fried snacks like fritters and prata, and then a dish that you could choose from the menu. I did not have to buy water during my time in Bagan as there was a water dispenser in the lobby. Most importantly is the kindness and hospitality of the owner. I was down with food poisoning and she provided me with medicine and offered to give a late check-out.

We had a terrific experience with both the staff and the facilities. The rooms are spotless, and the breakfast is massive and includes lots of choices. 

However, we visited during festival season in September. The hotel is near a local worship center, which broadcast Buddhist chanting 24 hours/day during the whole stay. Pretty rough in the middle of the night when you’re trying to sleep.

Helpful and friendly staff. Near restaurants and shops. Great breakfast of local foods, eggs, and fruit. Rent motorbike for 6000 kyats. Good rate for private taxi to see the pagodas. I booked the private taxi for 2 days. Great way to sightsee.

Great Place to Stay

We stayed here towards the end of our backpacking trip around Myanmar.

The owners make you fell very welcome and really care about your stay.

We had arranged with the guesthouse for a taxi to pick us up from the bus station. The night bus from Nyaungshwe was due to arrive at 5.30am, but actually got in at 3am.

However, arriving so early was no problem and we were able to use our room to get a few hours sleep.

We rented an electric scooter from the guesthouse for 2 days and were given a very detailed route. This was invaluable as we would not have found a few places without this advice.

We booked our onward travel to Mandalay via the guesthouse, and the mini bus picked us up and dropped us of at our accommodation in Mandalay. This was good advice as we would have had to get transport from the main bus station in Mandalay otherwise.

Breakfast is great and comes with a few local dishes and is served on the roof.

All in all a really great place to stay where you are cared for and looked after.

Would definitely recommend staying here.


A great guesthouse.

I loved my stay at Saw Nyein San Guesthouse! The staff was very friendly and helpful, full of nice attentions (like a welcome banana cake upon my arrival). The room was nice and fully equipped. And the breakfast was amazing! One of the best I’ve had in Myanmar!

I was only stayed for 2D1N and have some
miscommunication on pick up. nonetheless it was nice stay. Kind of like home actually. The room is clean and bed is comfy. The breakfast is good and rent their e-scooter for going around bagan. Nice chat with family and even bring me to tea shop and chat with like we are families. They have updated their ph no I have uploaded as well. 

Welcoming 

I spent three nights here on a recent trip to Bagan. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. It is ideally placed nearby to some lovely restaurants in the area, either a short wall away or a couple of minutes on the e bikes which they rent out daily pretty cheap. Highly recommended.

The staff here are so friendly and helpful. Really appreciate that I went to Bagan at 1.30 am and they helped with pick-up from bus station. 

They offer E-bike rental, GREAT breakfast ( a list of delicious food you can choose from), airport pick-up and help arrange day-tour with local travel agency.
