Wonderful Riad right in the heart of the old city Medina. Felt at home. The staff was exceptional and a big thank you to Jamal who picked me up from my airport transport, was always available to make a delicious cup of mint tea, provide breakfast according to our schedule needs and I cannot say enough about the dinner meals. Delicious and freshly prepared. Don't visit without having a home cooked meal prepared for you!

We booked the royal suite for one night. It was huge with two queen bedrooms, an ornate green tile bathroom and a private terrace (three stories).   The riad is right in the heart of the souk with great location.  I should note that we checked in right at dusk and my wife freaked out since we had to weave through a series of small dark lanes with a few stray cats to find the place. But that's par for the course in Marrakech.  When we went out for dinner, the lights had come on and it was fine.  

This is a very traditional riad with a beautiful common area and a small pool. The breakfast was great. 

The room itself was ornate with an amazing  ceiling and traditional furnishings.  If you are looking for the Four Seasons (where we were the night before), this is not it. No TV and the shower could have been a little stronger, but really the feel of living in a real place.   The room was also super quiet, which is not the case for all riad's. 

If you are looking for the real deal, this is a good place.  Not luxury, but history. 

Riad Ourika in the Medina of Marakkesh.  Very beautiful riad, quiet and cozy. Tasty breakfast, comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful stuff. I enjoyed my 3nights stay very much. I would select it again. Easy to reach the souks and restaurants. 

The Riad Ourika is very well located for visiting Medina by walk and, at the same time, be close to the taxi pick-up point for going to airport or new town. Design and cleanness is not the best... But still fine and over the average of Marrakesh standards. The staff is incredibly kind and available. During the entire stay we had several teas and coffee and they never charged them to us! Very nice rooftop terrace where to enjoy a panoramic breakfast.

Traditional Riad right smack in middle of the souk

Perfect balance between location, quality and price 

Marakkesh 3-day trip

Standard rooms - there are only 2 and they are sub standard and disgusting.  If I could have moved out I would have. They do not read or answer emails so our airport transfer did not arrive.  Internet broke, bulbs not fixed, roof terrance unswept and unloved. Brokend tap, loo roll holder and no aircon despite advertised as such.  'Pool' not a pool and certainly you would not swim in it, located on the ground floor and cold and miserable. 'Courtyard' is a fly buzzing, plastic tarpaulin covered, tree overgrown place to leave as soon as you have had breakfast.  No fresh air and apart from the wonderful Hassan two other staff members had no ability to be anything other than surly and difficult.  We were 3 single friends, 50 + and very well travelled and this did not meet any single expectation other than the location which was great.  The owner of this place should show up and give it a bit of love, attention and update. Most rooms looked over back passageway with tiny windows - if you were lucky. Standard rooms have no fresh air and no privacy and you cannot sleep after 5.0 am.
