She regally sits above Chefchaouen.  I see that many visitors are concerned with her aging and the fact that WiFi is only in the lobby. Because I did not have WiFi in the room I got better sleep (btw the bed was like cloud 9) and I finally got around to reading a great article on Peter Lynch, in Barron’s.  For those of you with teenagers, use the no WiFi time to talk to them;  they will be gone from the nest before you know it. For those couples that have allowed electronic devices to push you apart, enjoy the quality time. 
Mustafá and the rest of the staff are marvelous, the food is very good and my guess is when the renovation is complete it will be difficult to book a room. In the meantime, enjoy the queen before she gets her much needed beauty enhancement.

Rooms are dirty and not equipied,the tv was not connected to the electricity.the bath room was floaded.there was not any shampo in the bathroom,the towels was so thin that you can not be dry after the shower.

The food in the breakfest was finished at 7:30 am.

When we walked in the front door and the manager had his overcoat on, I was not sure if he was leaving or the lobby was just cold.  It was cold.  The smell of cigarette smoke throughout the lobby, bar and restaurant on 2nd floor was overwhelming.  I was choking.  Three of the big picture windows in the restaurant, looking out over Chefchaouen, which should be the place's big selling point (the view) had huge cracks in them.  Being high up on the hill, with big winds blowing, I was fearful of the window blowing in on us.  The bed room was dirty.  The heating unit in the wall rattled and made so much noise we turned it off.  Better to be quiet when sleeping than be warm.  The bathroom floor was dirty.  At least the shower was warm.  Rather than staying our planned 2 nights we checked out of the hotel and moved on to another city in Morocco.  Forget the cheap price, the place needs a major renovation before any more guests should be allowed in.

Avoid Hotel Atlas Chefchaouen

Stayed here for 1 night last Dec. 2018 with a group. Rooms are standard, bathtoom fixtures are broken. You can see that the hotel show signs of neglect but the view of Chefchaouen was magnificent. And the hotel staff are very friendly.

Old hotel but magnificent view

We really love the view, you can see the whole city on the terrace. The rooms we got had stunning views of the mountains. We were really thankful that they have parking spaces available as we had issues finding a place to park on our previous hotel. Pool was huge unfortunately it was too cold that day so we skipped swimming time. The hotel seems a bit old but it was a good choice. Other hotels nearby are crowded and are located near the town center which makes it very difficult to find. It saved our time when we moved to this hotel because it was easier to park and just go. The things we didn't really like was the breakfast food selection. And there were no food and beverages available to order in the afternoon except coffee and soda at the terrace.

Stunning view of the city and the mountains, perfect location, very decent place.

We would have gone somewhere else but we were part of a group.

Basically what you’d expect for about 200dm a night.
