We rented the entire building for several nights; 8 rooms and the penthouse. Overall the units are priced OK for what you’re getting. 
Pros:
Beachfront, Walking Distance to Everything
Clean Pool, Warm
Very Friendly Cleaning and Maintenance Staff
Great Views
Loved the bathroom, fridge and sink at the pool.
Grounds well kept
Wifi worked well enough. We weren’t streaming. 

Cons:
There wasn’t any hot water in several of the rooms. 
Water pressure was almost non-existent in some of the rooms.
Some rooms had no pressure AND no hot water. 
The ceiling LED lights don’t go out completely when you turn them off. They stay glowing all night. 
Penthouse bathroom had major sewage smells. Had to keep the door closed at all times. 
Maintenance machines start too early. Leaf blowers daily at 7am. 
No management on-site. Working with Indira wasn't great. Lots of communication lost in translation. Frustrating to only be able to communicate in email. No phone or whatsapp provided. 
Super loud location. Pounding music from beach raves and bars until sunrise every night even in low season. 
Penthouse had filthy floors. Our feet were black and covered in long dark hairs (we’re blonde).
We had a lot of maintenance issues from ceiling fans to AC units to hot water. They did their best to address these things. But most of my guests did not have hot water during their stay. 
Under equipped penthouse kitchen. Most of the cupboards and drawers were empty. Individual unit kitchens were also very basically stocked. 
No salt and pepper. In fact housekeeping removes these items if you buy them and leave them.

Pros and Cons

This location is the best!  So close to everything.  We love our room it has a comfortable bed.and an amazing view! The small kitchen could be stoked a little better.
The first week we spent here there was some very loud guests.  They stayed up partying until the wee hours of the morning did a lot of shouting.  I even heard guests from the neighbouring complex complaining about all the noise.  The management didn’t seem concerned that many guests were disturbed for many nights. Since they checked out it has been great!

Location location location!

We've stayed at La Esquina 3 times now. Great place with everything you need and a fabulous location that is in the middle of everything. The hotel looks as good as the first time we went and the staff works hard to keep the place looking great and ensuring everything works. Housekeeping was great as well. This place just works and there isn't a bad room. We plan on returning

Great Place

Room was very comfortable and clean.  Common areas were kept exceptionally clean. The pool is easy to access and always warm.

So close to all ammenties no transportation required.  Right accross from the beach with spectacular views of the ocean.

location location location

We stayed here 2 nights and both evening the Pool was taken over young people who weren't staying at the hotel. Music, drinking, If you want to part with the local kids
this is your place. Too bad because it is a very nice view
and clean room.

Need a new manager

I liked the prices especially. It was affordable. All rooms face the sea, there are palm trees but they don't obstruct very much. The pool is nice, not too much chlorine either. The pool or rooms don't get direct sun, it faces the wrong way for that. You have to chase the sun at the edge of the pool to sunbathe. It's not crowded now, so it wasn't too much of an issue. Security codes to get into the property is good. The location is good very walkable too. Love hearing the waves at night. I got some much needed rest, but if I wanted more night life, it's there for you. I arranged for transportation through them, it cost more but I found it convenient. the car was clean and on time and the driver was very nice. If you do this, ignore all the pressure for taxis as you walk through the airport, they will. make you feel that they are there waiting for you. they are NOT, your driver will be waiting outside for you with your name on a card.
Disliked  · Bed too soft. Strange there were no condiments, you have to bring everything, even salt, pepper and sugar. No one greets you here, that's odd too. it would have been nice to have a few things pointed out to me. I never figured out how to turn the fans off or how to use the coffee maker. I didn't find any instructions. So I bought instant coffee. Lots of instructions on how to tip. the room is fine, but the one I had was too close to the ground, I could see people walk right past my room, a bit uncomfortable sometimes. Finally, there are no screens on the doors so it would have been nice to have mosquito netting over the beds. Thankfully the bugs weren't terrible, I got 3 or 4 bits during the night. Oh, and they ask you to wear these stupid wrist bands like we are kids on a spring break. I never wore mine because the place wasn't crowded and it wasn't an issue, but I don't care for this policy anywhere I go. The place asks for practically the full payment upfront, they keep a portion if you change your mind so be sure before you book. even after 24 hrs, you're locked in. Don't care for that too much.

Decent Stay

Wow !! This place is amazing. The staff was awesome and the on-site maintenance man was so professional and friendly. I can’t wait to go back with our family. The views were amazing and located steps from the beach. You can walk everywhere because of how close everything is. 

Fell in love 🌴🌊 🏄 🌴

We stayed there for 4 weeks and loved it.  Very quiet, clean and upscale.  King bed is very comfortable, kitchen well appointed, maid service daily.  The plentiful supply of plush towels is amazing.  Loved the proximity to town, beach, just steps away.  Pool area is very large but seating is set up for privacy.  Grounds immaculate and constantly managed by friendly staff.  Going back for another 4 weeks Feb. 2019. 

Paradise

Perfect location....perfect accommodations.....right at the beach, but also a nice pool and a balcony with each room....walking distance to all the wonderful restaurants.  We have come to Sayulita many times and stayed in some wonderful places, but this is without question my favorite.  

Still the best of the best!

This place was nice, clean and had a great pool that overlooked the beach which is right across the street.  The room has double-pane windows which drown out all the outside noise.  Also, about a 5 minute walk from the middle of town, it's the perfect place to stay.  Oh, the little kitchen has a blender and we were able to make our own fruit smoothies every day!!
