On the spur of the moment, i took a bus to Oxkutzcab to visit a friend and meet their family. I arrived at midnight , went to my room and was impressed with the standard room.
There was nothing overly fancy, but the place was spotlessly clean. A comfortable bed, cold air conditioning, modern TV, and decent wifi. 
Room #18 was on the second level and was very quiet. (there is no elevator)
The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not use the restaurant, but looked in and it too was spotless. 
Free and secure parking is available.
If anyone is in this area and needs a nice clean and safe hotel, i would highly recommend

A surprisingly good  experience

Stopped for the night after pizza at Pizzeria Valentinas. Very clean, good rooms, nice pool with a lot of green areas. The hotel is spread out over several acres so you never feel crowded. We were there in November and there was almost no one there. Easy walk to stores and restaurants. Short drive to the caves Grottoes Loltún (temp closes) where there is an inexpensive guide available. Worth the trip.

Great Hotel/Motel to relax plus very economical

The pool area is lovely but a long walk from the rooms.  It was closed the entire two days we were there.  Forget the onsite restaurant.  It is geared for busloads of travelers, not individuals.  Friendly staff and the rooms were clean and adequate.

Pool?

We have a wonderful guide, Pablo Villarreal. He recommended Hotel Puuc. From there, we were in the middle of the most amazing places. Pyramid/Temples on top of hills, that are still not on maps, caves with wonderful drawings, and crystal caves. We went everyday with Pablo to a completely different site, and return to Hotel Puuc to have a wonderful dinner (the cook was 25 years working as chef in San Francisco). Clean, good beds and great people!

Centric, clean and great personnel

Stayed in a Jr. Suite for one night. Quiet, hot water, very clean and good breakfast. Didn't get to use the pool but the area looked very nice. The staff were extremely kind to allow us back in the room after checking out. Our car broke down on our way out of town and we needed to wait over 2 hours for a replacement. Thank you Hotel Puuc staff for making this unfortunate situation more comfortable, by allowing us to wait in the air-conditioned suite. 

Clean and great Staff!

This is a very functional hotel, but deserves 4 stars for that.  In the summer, Osh is HOT, HOT, HOT, and this hotel had AC so cold we had to turn it down at night. Shaded and secure parking and a lovely pool area used by locals as well as guests for birthday parties and swim lessons.  And as several have noted, the Labna restaurant is on site serving meals all day (though not Sundays). Staff was friendly and helpful with finding tour times at Lol-Tun, which is just down the road.  If we ever go back to this part of the Yucatan, we'll definitely stay here as our home base.  We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was in the quiet around back and included a good fridge.  (Again, did I mention it was hot?)  AND great wi-fi.

A Port in a (Heat) Storm

I like HP because it always gives me basic comfort to explore a region that I find fascinating.  You do need to check to make sure things such as sheets are actually clean/stain free, etc.  Sometimes the a/c can be a problem.  In any case, I’ve always found the staff to be very responsive in fixing things.  A very big plus for the hotel is its absolutely wonderful, clean little Restaurant Labna:  the food is always good, and the group of local Maya women running it are intelligent and personable. A Good Hotel Relative To The Interesting, Rural Region

If you have your expectations calibrated to the context, this is a great spot. Adequate, clean, air-conditioned rooms. A really lovely pool area, and quick access to Loltum. Ox is a charming town. Spend a little time at the market and town square. 

Great in context

We stayed Just for one night. We liked it. Its was clean, dated shower But Good shower. Beds are Nice and firm. Staff is friendly. And the pool is a real bonus. Just a view pics of the village. Good place for a stop over.
