Salini Resort

We had a superior sea view room on the 6th floor. Great views across to St Pauls bay. Our room was surprisingly large and the bed was huge and very comfortable. We had a small balcony to the front but a huge balcony to the side with 4 sun beds, a small sofa, table and 2 chairs. There was a fridge, a Nespresso coffee machine a kettle and normal tea and coffee. The bathroom had a full decent sized bath, a powerful shower and shampoo/body wash and conditioner provided. Towels changed daily if needed. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was ok with a good selection. Did have a problem with the toast machine but it was soon solved. All the staff were friendly and greeted you as you walked around the hotel. I used the indoor pool which was nice and warm but not very deep so found I couldn't swim properly but it was good to sit and relax around. Ate at the Italian restaurant a few times and the food and service was very good. 10% off if you are a hotel resident. Used the buffet at Medea and the food was tasty, Unfortunately due to some medication I take I can't eat much so didn't get the full value for what I paid. It's worth a visit though especially on a Wednesday if you like Maltese food. I had seen people complaining about the smell but it was hardly noticeable while we were there but maybe in high summer it would be worse. There were quite a few school parties staying but they were never a problem and were not on or near our floor. I would certainly visit again but even though the sea view is excellent I might have a country view room as the noise from the motorbikes on the road was quite loud. Thank heavens for ear plugs.
