Overall service good. The owners in charged are very accommodating and helpful. Beside the front hotel they also have their Banglo homestay for family which is located further in the island. You can also rent a motorised or normal bicycle from the hotel as well. 

Sea Lion Banglo Homestay

The most dirtiest hotel I ever stayed in my life. Roaches running around. Room that smells and looks like a room where you bring  (&&--### . Don't trust the review

Never never never ever again. No amenities at all.

Very Dirty

This would be the biggest & probably nicest hotel on Pulau Ketam or at least the nicest you will find on Agoda (so payable with a credit card) for the island (not counting homestays). The Deluxe Room (x 1) is small (w/ TV, kettle, soap dispenser in the toilet etc); but good enough for sleeping in (should be ready b/w 1-2PM) plus the size of the room means the A/C was pretty strong (ended up bothering my sinuses as I should have left it mostly off during the night). The island is good to spend a leisurely weekend on eating/walking around, then going back to the room during the hottest part of the day to rest & then renting a bike late afternoon (the hotel charged MYR8 + a deposit for bikes) before eating some more. You don’t need electric – just walk the bike up the steep bridges (as otherwise the island is flat).

Otherwise, I am not sure what other reviewers are complaining about concerning the hotel or its rooms as you won't be spending much time in the room other than to sleep/shower in it.

Biggest/nicest accommodation option on Pulau Ketam

I was expecting better but sadly worst.

Water pressure no good enough. Staff not friendly enough. Cleanliness average. Famous in internet but mainly marketing. 

Better options available in this island.

Below Average

I was understood that this was the best hotel in Pulau Ketam, so I could not complain much about the hotel. The hotel should be the 1st hotel you would come across when you arrived by ferry because it was just in front of the jetty. The room was just big enough to put 2 double beds, so do not expect much space. Although I saw some comments that the hotel had restaurant or cafe, but I did not come across it.

Simple and Basic Hotel

Visited as part of my short 2 day-1 night excursion. 
Pros:
1. Easily accessible. It's the first thing you'll see on the way out of the jetty. They also have electrical bikes for rental but i didn't rent them so not able to provide the rates here.
2. Basic amenities such as shower gel and towels available in room. Each room has attached bathroom so privacy is adequate. Don't expect shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. It's a budget hotel anyway.
3. Newly renovated and very clean rooms. Toilets are usually the worse place in terms of room cleanliness and here they did a great job.
4. Water cooler and filling machines along the hallway and corridors. There are a couple of them so absolutely no problem getting free hot or cold water.
5. To me it's absolutely excellent to have a place to cool off after each trip outside. 
6. Has wifi although sometimes at night may not be able to connect to it. 

Cons:
1. We asked for seaview room and at first were promised to be given one, but our room is actually facing another building. When we asked to change, they said all other rooms are fully booked and at least my room has a window....
2. As a light sleeper, I find it quite noisy in the morning as other guests woke up and the shops in fronts starts opening their shutters. The walls of my room are bricks and concrete so i suspected the noise got through the door.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the room and is definitely recommended for a short stay.

Budget Hotel with some good pointers

My better half and I together with our friends stayed in this family-run budget hotel in Pulau Ketam during our visit there last week. It is located in front of the jetty where all the visitors disembark from the ferry from Port Klang. In fact it is so strategically located that every visitor to this island will walk pass the hotel's main entrance. It has 43 rooms of various sizes housed in a two-storeyed building built on concrete stilts just like all the other buildings here.
We were welcome by the affable proprietor Dato' Andy Cha and his son, Johnson Cha. Check-in was fast and easy, just produce your identity card for a simple registration.
Our room was not spacious but adequate. It was clean and odourless. The bed was firm and comfortable. The single horsepower air conditioner cooled the room sufficiently. There was also a small wall-mounted LCD television and an electric kettle. Free wifi was also available. The bathroom was also not spacious but enough to serve its purpose. Clean towels and small pieces of soap were provided. We could not have asked for more because we understand that this is just a budget hotel on a small island and for the price we pay, we are happy with what we get.
As we had booked the room with a tour and steamboat dinner package, Dato' Andy took us out on a special open-deck boat for a tour round the island. He showed and explained to us the various settlements of the different Chinese clans and the history of the place. We also visited a floating fish farm. Later, he took us on a walking tour round the island, visiting the local school, temples, a dried prawn factory, a fisherman's jetty and an ice making factory. Dato Andy was born and bred on this island and he knew the place like the back of his hand. 
Later that night, we had a simple steamboat dinner at the back portion of the hotel facing the sea. No meat, just seafood and vegetables. This was followed by a karaoke session at the same place. Dato' Andy is a very good singer and he had to perform several encores at our requests.
Checking out the next day was just as simple and we just had to walk out about a hundred metres to the our ferry waiting at the jetty. 
It is a good budget hotel recommendable to visitors to this small island which is fast becoming a favourite local tourist destination.
