It says “Quiet place, clean rooms” on the sign outside. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Owners are lovely and speak a little English. Far enough from town to be peaceful, quick 3/5 min motorbike ride into town. Booked one night and ended up staying just short of a week, everyday we just asked to stay another night, until they kicked us out for some previously arranged bookings. Lovely, would stay again. 

Quiet place, clean rooms!

We planned to stay here for 2 nights and ended up staying for 6! It’s brilliant value for a clean spacious room with a hot shower and comfy bed. The location was perfect for us.. especially with the free bike hire! Just far enough from town that it was peaceful but only a 10 minute walk.
The staff were helpful enough and the scenery was stunning! Recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Vang Vieng. 

Perfect quiet location and clean rooms 

Stayed here for 7 days and got the bungalow for 80.000 Kip a night. I think that's a very fair price compared with the one displayed on booking sites. The bungalow is spacious, the bed is huge and very comfortable, it has aircon, fan, TV (not in my room as needed repair currently), hot shower and free wifi.
If you need the room cleaned you need to ask for it and explain exactly what you need (i.e. new tissues, new towels, etc.). They allowed me to use the fridge in the reception building for some drinks. English is very restricted and most of the guests are Lao or Thai.
The place is far away from everything, so best would be to have a motorbike or bicycle. For a walk to the centre you need at least 20 min. If you plan to come back late, don't forget your torch.
The good thing about being far away is, it's quiet. Well it should be, what brings me to some critics to the management: You have a rule about nobody should disturb anybody with noises. Please enforce this rule! Some of your guests blast music out of their cars at 6:30am. And if you need the lawn to be mowed, DON'T do it on a Sunday morning (after a Buddha day) at 7am with a motor sense.

Far away from the centre, good value for money

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was very nice, quiet and staff are friendly. About 15-20 minutes walk from town. Was very close to the Tham Chang cave which is beautiful. 

Downside to Phatty Villa is there's no breakfast but you can get tea/coffee, and they have a fridge stocked with drinks. 

Loads of mosquitos around so make sure you have enough repellent & there are no anchor points in the ceiling to hang you own mosquito net. The main downside though, is finding ants have got into one of your food bags. So be vigilant for this.

Nice but ANTS!

On arrival we walked in to the office and were not spoken to or even acknowledged. The lady remained on her phone the whole time even when taking us to our room. The bed was full of cobwebs at the back and there was often cockroaches in the room when we woke up. It needed a proper clean. It was a basic room, the bed was comfortable but like I said there was plenty of cobwebs behind the head board and in other areas. It was big and spacious just didn't feel clean.

We had our washing done here. BIG MISTAKE it came out all bobbly and screwed up. When we told them they said they'd do it again, we didn't want them to. But they gave us a refund. 

WiFi wasnt great, kept cutting out. 

Theres plenty more places to stay in the centre probably much nicer. This one's a short walk in, down a very dark alley. 

Wouldn't recommend this place.
