What a wonderful establishment! Even though there are western style rooms, we took a Japanese style. If you do that, you need to learn how to put a Japanese futon together to sleep on the tatami mats. As a westerner nervous about shared baths but wanting to experience a "onsen buro" you could reserve theirs for yourselves and not feel embarrassed. The most incredible experience though is their meals. For breakfast, I counted eleven separate items! Make sure to also have at least one supper as it is equally as wonderful. Note that you should let them know ahead of time that you will be having their meals. It is conveniently located at the bus stop if that is how you are traveling to Yamanakako. Finally this is a cash establishment so bring the correct change.
