Opted for the single room. Room have bunk beds and is good for two.

If your room faces the main street, you will hear people walking by, drunks, etc. If your room faces the back alley, you will occasionally hear the tram passing through.

Place is not wheelchair friendly and would require some stairs climbing.

To sum it up, it feels like staying at your friend's place.

Just prepare cash, don't risk it by intending to pay by card.

No Frills, Quiet Stay

I stayed for two days, it was my first time in Japan and I had a really warm welcome. I am glad this place was the first one I got to.
Thank you so much for making me visit the Groovy Room and helping me for the trips I had to do the day I left. I am grateful. 
Other than that the place is really cozy, you feel like you are at home and the bedroom, shower and toilets are really clean.
I will definitely be back! Thank you!!!

Awesome stay.

New World Inn is located just a few minutes from both Shin-Imamiya and Dobutsuenmae Stations. From here you can travel easily to anywhere you need to go; Namba, Nara, Kobe etc.

The surrounding area has many cheap bars and izakayas, as well as very local eateries where you can try real home cooking.

As for the hostel itself, it is clean and comfortable, with free tea amd coffee services. There are woman only bathrooms and showers, coin laundry service and a terrace on the 3rd floor where you can relax on a nice day.

Strongly recommend.

Comfortable and convenient

I really recommend this place, the place is so modern and the workers there they make you feel confortable and good during your stay. They also have a very beautiful rooftop and a very beautiful livingroom.

Good expirience

The super nice hostel in Osaka! Good and convenient location just beside the subway station, there’s many great bar and restaurant still open at late night as well, so never get bored even no plane after back here! If wanna get some information in Osaka or you’re searching good places to go, just ask the manager TAKE, he is local Osaka guy who is so kind, friendly and always helpful! We all having so much fun here and luckily we joined the activity which is made from this hostel, meet the people from all around the world, having a good time with everyone. This’s a amazing trip and place here, love to comeback every time! 

Friendly and cozy !!!!

I was given a single room as requested but I asked to move as the noise from the hallway was just too bad. The door didn’t close well and I could hear the people in the hallway incredibly well to the point it sounded as it there wasn’t even a door in the way. The room was also unfinished and had wires hanging out of the ceiling. When I got moved into a dormitory room it was like being moved into a different hostel. The room was clean and quiet. A really upgrade! A fantastic hostel for groups. Not so much for solo travellers unless you have no problem with noise. I really hope they manage to fix the issues for solo travellers.

Great service, but single room not great

This was actually my and my bf first hostel experience and we were a bit apprehensive but it was awesome. Our flight arrived late and the owner was nice to stay open until we arrived! Helped us carry our heavy luggage! We were only there for 2 nights. We had a private room with twin beds. Our room had our own heater as it was cold in January. We even had a area to hang outside with a sink but it was chilly. I think there were toilets on every floor. They were very clean, as were the showers. The shared kitchen was great with free water and coffee and space in the fridge to store your food if you needed. One thing we were afraid of was maybe ppl being too loud but it was quiet. Overall it was an amazing experience. The area was great too. Donki and a bunch of conbini nearby open 24 hrs. A Daiso down the street. Tennoji zoo, Abeno Harukas and Abeno Q, Shinsekai, Keitakuen Gardens, Tenshiba Park, Osaka City Museum nearby. Lots of fun things to do. Many train stations nearby too. Easy to get around! Also got to experience a festival nearby and ate delicious street food! I highly recommend staying here! I would love to stay here again.

Though the location is said to be dangerous, we didnt have an issue. We stayed in single room, which was pretty small but enough for me and my daughter. Every guest had a voucher for beer but I didnt try it. Saturday night was bit noisy because the bar is downstairs. Hostel is located near 2 stations: shin-Imamiya and Dobutsuen-Mae. Family Mart is next door, and Don Quijote not far. Tomo-san and Naru were very nice they allowed us to store our luggage and had afternoon shower after check out. Very recommended.

Nice hostel

I am originally from Osaka but live in US with my family now. So I always stay with my parents while visiting Osaka, however I had an opportunity to tour this Inn which opened a year ago.

The owner and staffs of this place are super friendly and nice and the owner showed us everything you need to know about this place! 

This is a Inn so not five star hotel, however, my daughter got very excited to see this place and she said it’s like a very clean nice dorm! 

On the rooftop, there’s a very nice outdoor space that you can hang out with your friends and family.
I like the room with six beds with own bathroom and shower inside. 

Another thing is that beds in this inn are specially made so each bed size is much bigger than traditional Japanese single bed!

There is a laundry room as well.

It’s very close from three different train/subway stations so location is perfect!

Very nice clean inn!!

Convenient location. Close by train station for touring Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe.
Very neat and clean hostel. 
We stayed 4 friends at the dorm room for 6.
Very quiet at night and comfortable bed.
There are Udon noodle pub at the first floor and be able to satisfy your appetite till late at night. This pub is not opened in the morning but you can find local coffee shop for breakfast. They are around 350 yen to 400 yen with a cup of coffee, thick butter toast(Japanese traditional thickness) and boiled egg. 
The cost for food & accomo fee around this area are so reasonable.
