Ittan Guesthouse is great for those who want more out of a guesthouse than simply a place to stay. The owner is incredibly kind and you can easily conversate with him anytime (he speaks English well, so he's there for foreigners too). I like the rooms since the wooden interiors look cosy, and staying there during winter has given me some of the best views yet. I also cannot stress enough how delicious the food is, and how big the portions are! Only 800¥ as well, that's incredibly cheap, as you get two plates and big portions (lots of meat too). You will eat along with the owner and the staff, which is more enjoyable as you can enjoy a good conversation over dinner. I had fun at Ittan and in the Nasu area, so I'm happy I went there! (My stomach was very happy as well haha)
