A great chalet, very comfortable, warm, well equipped and in a very convenient location for Happoone

As a family of four with two kids, skiing for the first time, this was an excellent location. The chalets were perfectly appointed and comfortable. The wash and dryer were a bonus. The team here looked after us brilliantly. Nothing was too much trouble. The communication before, during and after was excellent and they provided us with invaluable information for ski suppliers and getting around. To Sarah, Bellen and Joachim, thanks so much for everything. Loved it. Will be back and would absolutely recommend Zen Chalets.

We stayed in the Mitsu Chalet and it was perfect for our family getaway. The staff picked us up from the train station when we arrived and gave us a tour through Harpo-One on the way to the Chalet. They also did a complimentary trip to the grocery store on our first night so we could stock up for our stay. My husband got sick while we were away and the staff provided a care package of cold and flu medicine which was amazing. The chalet was amazing and the staff were even better. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous little chalet that felt quite spacious inside. Perfect for a family. Warm and cosy. All necessary amenities including lots of hot water. Easy access to the main lifts. 5 minute walk to all the restaurants. Mick and Sarah and staff were super helpful. 10 minute walk to the onsen. Highly recommend. Would definitely book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hakuba, and in Zen Chalets.  Mick, Sarah, and the team couldn't have done more to help us and make our time as easy as possible for us.  The location of the Chalets is perfect, near restaurants, and obviously the ski-fields too, and they are amazing Chalets as well.  Definitely want to come back! Cheers Troy & Zoe

Plenty of wow factor in this stylish apartment. Fanatastic outlook from every window, it was dificult to talk ourselves into going out each morning! 
Loved the bathroom with loads of hot water and the second toilet made it easy to share among the four of us. Super comfortable beds and each one with a view of the snow covered forest. I was concerned that it would be too remote from the online views but it is really well located with an easy flatish walk to the happo Gondola.
The staff respond really fast to every enquiry, and as this was our first Japan trip, we had loads!
It took me ages to choose with all the options availabe, and I could not have chosen a better experience. Book direct for better pricing and a very generous 15% off for return visits or personal recomendations.
One minor detail; the stairs are very steep, especially to the loft area, if you have small children, and limited eating options in walking distance means book ahead for dinner.

Stayed in Villa A for the weekend and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations, the cleanliness, location and overall comfort. We look forward to staying here again or recommending to those traveling to Hakuba.

We stayed in the Buddha Chalet in April 2023.  Sarah and Mick were wonderful friendly hosts with heaps of skiing, eating, and apres ski tips, especially little out of the way joints that only locals would know - after a couple of decades they have Hakuba dialled. The 'chalet' was really a spacious 2 bedroom home with all the mod cons, super comfy beds, a big entertaining table, big couch, laundry facilities, big drying room.  Location is wonderful, right beside a stream, a quiet area, but only 200 m from Happo Gondola, and easy walking to all the shops, bars, and restaurants of old Hakuba.  Highly recommended.

Fab accommodation for different sized families in our group, spacious, well equipped, comfy beds, super clean and very helpful and friendly staff.
Shampoo and conditioner were amazing!
Good location with staff lift to ski hire and supermarket. Short walk to local bars, restaurants and ski lift.
