34 reviewsA beautiful old traditional wooden building in a quiet street. We chose a Japanese room with floor futons though I glimpsed the interior of at least one other room which had beds. Our room was actually 2 large spaces - one set up with the futons on tatami mats and the other set up with a low table, 2 low chairs and the TV. Traditional food served and it is also possible to have lunch and dinner here as well as the breakfasts that came with the booking. We did have one dinner. The staff were absolutely wonderful, especially the chief receptionist who spoke very good English and took great care to ensure my need for gluten free food was met for breakfasts and the dinner we ate. Highly recommend this inn. The bathroom facilities including toilets were shared but never once did I have to wait my turn for the facilities. We did have to book a time for the shower. Walking distance to many of the local sights though we also hired bikes one day which saved time and were fun to use.
