54 reviewsWe were fortunate to stay at the Villa Broncigliano for two nights in mid-September. This place is INCREDABLE, 500 years old but renovated and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll be greeted by Perla and Franco, two of the nicest people in the world, with smiles and a warm welcome. We were shown around the property while luggage was taken to our spacious room and bathroom. The inside sitting area is very well appointed but you’ll want to take advantage of the outside terrace and green if weather permits (it did for us). The outside living spaces are excellent places to relax, read, enjoy a glass of wine and the Tuscany countryside – the view is incredible. Each morning we arose to a breakfast of fresh fruit, continental selections, juices and coffee or cappuccino delivered by Franco on a regular basis. The train station and car park are just a few minute’s drive from the villa and within another 15 minutes you are in the center of Florence, enjoying the Duomo and the hundreds of shops and restaurants in the area. After a day in the city what better way to relax than sitting at your private villa. If still hungry, Perla will make reservations for you at a local restaurant. The one she recommended for us provided a very good three course dinner with wine, all for 50 euro (for two people). It’s not often that you find a place that you dream of returning to. Villa Broncigliano is one of them.
