Quellenhof is a magical grouping of hotel buildings, pools, saunas, and restaurants in the beautiful Passeiertal, close to spectacular mountain hiking trails. I have been 5 times and have loved every moment. The staff is/are very friendly and helpful (they even fixed my brother-in-law's glasses) and the food is excellent. The prices are also very reasonable. Check out their website and ask questions. They are very responsive and can tell you about the dozens (hundreds?) of activities and sports opportunities offered by the hotel as well as spa treatments, a well-equipped gym, and excursions.

My Favorite Resort in the Dolomites

The pictures suck you in.  The pool that is the headline picture in all of their literature looks dated and dirty from within.  The complex itself is a labyrinth and if you need help from staff for a problem, forget it.  I had an injury that needed some attention and when I finally found a member of staff, they were zero help.
Rather than showing the hotel cared, the opposite was felt. 
To top that off, several members of our group had symptoms that could be related to food poisoning - but as the hotel staff and owner seemed not to care, it was pointless to bring it up.
The food was bad, the rooms were average, the complex itself tired and the care from the staff were missing.  

General consensus, never return.

Uncaring service, will never return

I spent a couple of days with my pregnant Partner and her son and our dog. From the start we were impressed. Hotel facilities are very well maintained and clean. The hotel is perfect for children as it offers an abundance of things to do for children. Parents can retreat in the adults only section where the hotel offers everything a high end 5 star hotel needs to offer and for sports enthusiasts this is also a great hotel because from Tenis, to golf to Swimming and horseback riding there are many other options for being active. 

We tried to book one of the restaurants outside the half board but were unable to get a table which was very dissapointing, but it did not affect our overall experience of the hotel which was really great. 

The hotel seems to be fanily owend and this family feeling is the spirit of the hotel. 

All in all, I can highly recommend this hotel if you want to spend some nice hollidays with your children

Perfect for family vacation with Kids

I stayed here for a week in July with my wife and two children.

Everything about our stay was exceptional.

We stayed in the See Lodge suites.

From arrival to departure we couldn’t have been looked after any better.

The location is amazing. 

The suites are modern and luxurious.

The resort is spotless.

There are so many things to do - too many in fact!

There are two things that stand out. Firstly the food. It’s of such high standard. A different six course menu every night. The food is on a par with Michelin star restaurants. It’s so good, quality and variety.

In terms of dinner for the kids, the kitchen will basically cook whatever they want. This means the adults can have the food they want and the children are more than catered for.

Secondly, the team that work here are amazing. They genuinely care and do everything they can to make sure you are happy and looked after. Nothing is a problem. They are all lovely friendly people.

Exceptional in every way

We went for a cigar after lunch and were not dissappointed. Beautiful modern architecture throughout the large dispersed premises. Attentive, friendly service. The Quellenhof is well known for its sporting facilities and visiting sports teams such as the German national football team. Easy to reach from Meran, and a challenging drive if arriving from Timmelsjoch or Jaufen Pass.

Amazing Place, Great Hotel, Great resort one of the best I ever  been.
The staff and the owner are the diamond of this resort.

First the location is amazing, at South Tirol in Italy, the hotel very luxury, with a lot of facilities (Many kind like, swimming pools, sauna, jacisie Golf, Horse riding and much more.
the Atmosphere is amazing unique and special, the food excellent.
For me it was the 4th Time, and i'm going to be there at least once in a year. 
i recommended this resort to everybody.

You feel right away that you arrive at a well run family resort at the Quellenhof, they have thought of everything and things are under control. The selection of kids activities at this resort is really outstanding, it’s truly a kids paradise.

The resort itself consist of, I believe 6 different hotel buildings, that are all connected. Each has its own wellness area, meaning it will take you 3 days just to find your way through the corridors, tunnels etc. And this is one of the problems with this place, it’s just a bit too big, and the coziness you want in a wellness resort kind of disappears.

Many of the buildings are relatively new, expensively built and well designed, with furniture matching the style. But, and it’s a big but, there are so many decorative items everywhere that completely ruins it, I would go so far as to call it tacky. Large green porcelain frogs, all kinds of plastic flowers, the style is very 80’s, really a shame as it lets down the otherwise good design. For us it was a deal breaker, but that is of course very individual.

The Garden Suite in the Parkresidenz was of older origin, but nicely touched up with modern design, and the perfect room for a family of 4-6 members. The restaurant in the same building was also excellent, and the staff went out of their way to please the customers.

A few suggestions for the hotel:
- We initially got the older washed-out white robes, which does not exactly give you a cozy feeling (one does wear this all day). We then asked to swap them for the newer thicker grey ones that other guests were wearing. Why even use these old ones? Get rid of them, and give all guest new robes, it also looks much better with guests in uniform robes in warm colors.
- No TV working on cardio machines in the gym, a real shame, the TV’s are there, looks like a cable is connected, just no one bothered to check if it works.

All together a great resort, but too big and design wise just not to our taste.


A kids paradise, but not to everyone’s taste

top hotel, see lounge is just amazing. Penthouse in House V is great too, best hotel I’ve been in Tirol/Sud Tirol so far. Employees also have a really good and discrete attitude. Panorama restaurant was a great surprise.

We stayed here six nights with our 2yr-old toddler. (Also relevant, we're Americans living in London)

We were in the Alpenschlössel unit, which is a very steep 5-min walk away from the main property (they have a shuttle, but it usually requires a few minutes' wait).  Overall, we had the feeling of being in a rather dated property from the 80s or 90s. For example, the kids pool area in the main building showed signs of wear, particularly in the 'lazy river' area.

Our room itself was large and well air-conditioned, but the balcony overlooked the courtyard, and when there was live music it was quite disturbing. 

There were two major problems:
1: The building is next to some sort of chicken farm, and in the heat the smell was disgusting.
2: The main restaurant, lobby, and lounge areas had almost non-existent air conditioning. Given the predictable and very high heat of this summer, this is unacceptable in a 'luxury' property.

In addition, there were a number of smaller problems:
1: The pillows were almost a joke - more like a thick blanket than anything actually supportive.
2: There were no USB ports in the room, which is unusual in 2023
3: There was a motion-sensor light in the room which was quite disturbing when we had a toddler asleep in the room with us
4: The kids playground at Alpenschlossel was unkempt - we found animal feces on the ground.
5: The pools had no shallow area (apart from in the kids pool in the main building). This meant that I or my wife had to hold our toddler the entire time. Not a relaxing experience!
6: We couldn't find towels at the pool, and had to bring our own from our room.

Finally, (and this isn't the hotel's fault), there were no other English-speaking guests there, i.e. Brits or Americans. Everyone was friendly enough and spoke good English, but we certainly felt out of place.

That said, the meals were of very high quality, and we appreciated the multi-course options each night, with a great wine list to match.
