My boyfriend and I just wanted to make a short stop-over in Otranto, but not only the beautiful town surprised us and made us stay longer, but also the hospitality of the hosts Lucia and Mario! They explained us everything one can do in this amazing region, and gave us lots of secret hints! They cared about everything, the rooms were very clean and spatious, and we even got a bottle of wine as a welcome present, which we could enjoy at our balcony with sight at the oceon!
This b&b is really worth a stay!!

Really worth a stay!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The place is large and clean and in an amazing location. The water and restaurants are just minutes away. Mario and Lucia are warm and welcoming and know all the secrets to Otranto and surrounds. You’ll be lucky if you discover this place. Photo of me doing a little holiday work. 


Authentic and perfect! 

Our spontaneous stay at B&B Gelsimori was a lucky one. It was a coincidence that we stayed there because another hotel canceled our booking just before we arrived in Otranto. Luckily we stumbled over the B&B Gelsimori, called the host and he welcomed us warmly even though it was quite late. He made sure that we had everything needed to recover from the long journey and gave us a lot of good advices and informations the next day to start our trip in Otranto. 
The B&B is perfectly located - next to the sea, close to the old town, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. The flat itself is very clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and views of the sea.
The flat and its warm hearted, friendly host truely stood out on our now 6 month lasting journey.
It was a great time and for sure not the last time.

Perfect Place To Enjoy And Discover Otranto

I and my wife traveled in Puglia by car and stopped for 1 night I Otranto. The apartment was a nice surprise. The host was very friendly and  met us with a bottle of wine and give us many advice for the stay- Free parking and free breakfast the next day.

Overnatting Otranto

We loved the place as it was a good starting point for all our trips in Salento and at the same time Otranto is full of history and places to go during the day and night. It has its own sandy beach. The apartments Gelsimori offers all comfort you might need; the kitchen and dining room are spacious, equipped and have a great sea view. The owner Mario was very kind and provided us with all info regarding the places that are worth visiting.

All you’ll need for your stay in Salento

Mario and Lucia were so lovely and helpful. An excellent B&B experience, they collected us from the station after we had trouble with our cases! It was great  to be so close to the beach as made it possible to nip to and from the beach when it got super hot, and the lovely air conditioning helped with this too!

amazing hosts, lovely apartment!

The property is a 4 bedroomed flat on the top floor of a block of flats overlooking the entrance to the harbour. The owners Mario and Lucia couldn't have been more charming and helpful but they are not resident so it's more like an Air B&B . Breakfast is served at a very nice café a short walk away overlooking the harbour and consists of a beverage and a pastry. We found the location extremely convenient, plenty of parking and with the added bonus of a blue flag beach about 200 metres away. Whilst there are many positives there are some issues, the bathrooms are in need of refurbishment and the tired beds and mattresses need replacing.
