Fantastic
1747 reviewsHad a 3 night stay here. First two nights booked with points, last night as a paid stay. I emailed in advance to request the same room for all three nights and they replied confirming this. I was greeted as Diamond at check in and offered my choice of welcome amenity which included breakfast and is what I chose for the three nights. Gentleman on reception was jovial and chatty. He knew about my room request and said he’d given me an upgrade for the whole stay. I had booked a Premium King room on points and a standard double on the paid night but we were given the Premium King for all three which, apparently, was our upgrade and was fine. There was a handwritten welcome note in the room with complimentary water and biscuits. Items in the fridge were chargeable. We were late arriving so ate dinner in the restaurant. Waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with our food and wine choices. Food was delicious and we were given a complimentary ravioli taster while we waited for our starters. We ate there again on our last night also. We had drinks in the bar a couple of times which is comfortable to sit in. There is also a large seating area outside which would be lovely in the summer. All staff remembered and acknowledged us which was nice. Despite confirming that our room keys would last for the three days, we were locked out after breakfast daily and had to visit reception to have them recoded. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice of fruit, hot and cold food, bacon, sausages, eggs, pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cakes and bread. Items were replenished quickly. There was a coffee machine giving the usual options of latte, cappuccino, espresso etc but the waiter stopped us from using it and produced freshly made barista style drinks for us instead. Between the bar area and reception there is a pool table, table football and pinball machine - all free to play on - which was a nice touch. the whole downstairs area feels uncluttered and comfortable. The hotel is in quite an industrial area and there is plenty of parking outside. Nothing really to walk and see nearby and you’d need a car or taxi to get into Venice. Would definitely return.
