What a lovely surprise this little guest house was!  After a short battle communicating the owner fetched us from the station in Baveno.  She does not have a lot of English but she makes up for it in friendliness and helpfulness.  She brought us cappucinos and lovely little Italian patries to make us feel welcome, and we certainly did! Her house is a typical narrow Italian house in a narrow walkway.  Wonderfully elegant and homely decor inside, the room a good size with an extra entrance hall that adds space for luggage etc. and a little balcony on the outside.  The bathroom very comfortable and everything sparkling clean.   The breakfast also excellent, a good selection, everything fresh and tasty and also with a little patio if you want to go outside.  ( you can also help yourself to a packed breakfast if you have to leave early).  A really very good experience in general, we did not want to leave!

What a lovely place!

Lovely place to stay in Baveno. The location is ideal, direct to the lake ´s shore and the room is big,  well furnished with a small balcony. 
The hosts are probably the kindest and loveliest persons we have been staying at. We highly recommend to stay at Casa Del Lago !

A home away from home!

Was impressed by the homeliness of this minute B&B and the helpfulness of the owners and their entire family. Although fluency in English is not a strong point, communication, especially with the daughter of the house, was perfectly adequate. Breakfasts were good. The B&B is located at the start of a long seafront boulevard which leads to the town centre, the restaurants and the ferry station. One's car can be abandoned because there is a very good ferry service to the Borromean Islands, Stresa, and elsewhere. Although on-site parking is not available there is a public parking area less than 100 metres away and the B&B owners ensure that space is available for their patrons. We experienced some ill-health while there and the owners could not have been more helpful in getting the required medical attention. Nice people, worthy of support!
While not the owner's fault, the mapmakers of Baveno and Google Earth can be blamed for making the B&B's address difficult to find. The ‘street’ on which they are located is, in fact, a very narrow lane, not wide enough to admit a vehicle other than an unladen bicycle! Even locals consulted in an effort to find the place were unaware of the ‘street’ shown on the maps as a wide thoroughfare. however, the location of this B&B could be better sign-posted, especially as there is another Ca’ del Lago in another part of the town! Also, Booking.com site's claim of a 'lake view' is stretching a point. Admittedly, there is such a view, but from the landing of the stairs leading up to the rooms!

En-route from Convalle to Switzerland we booked this delightful overnight  (two actually ) stay as we liked the look of the location - spent a  thoughly enjoyable day visiting the islands of Lake Maggiore  - and yet again Italy does not disappoint! 

This is a delightful homely residence run by a charming friendly  family -  thank you for your help in speaking English, as with regret we only know a few words of Italian. 
We are blessed with a  large garden at home but I've loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the other residences adjacent.  So much nicer than hotels.

If you like B&B s,  you'll like this one!

Another Excellent B&B

We arrived a little early at about midday but were given a wonderful welcome.  Our bikes safely stored in a secure shed we were shown to our room which was much bigger than expected with a little ante room as well as the ensuite.  The hostess invited us down for a welcome coffee and when we got there there was food on offer as well so we didn't need lunch that day.  The young daughter of the house presented my wife with a necklace that she had made. The room was very comfortable, great shower pressure, and a really good breakfast.  It is located at the southern edge of Baveno, just off the main road, but quiet.  A five minute walk along the lake front into Baveno. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended
