We rented a two bedroom apartment through a well-known accommodation booking agent. The apartment is located right by the ALFA bus stop from the airport (only 10-15 min ride, 1.50 euro each way) which is very handy and significantly cheaper than the 20 euros taxi for the same distance. There is no reception so email the owners to arrange to meet outside. The woman we dealt with was very friendly, but doesn't know English so get your phrasebook out. There was a spacious kitchen/diner/living room with large balcony with outdoor seating and chairs with view over the car park behind. Then a twin bedroom and double bedroom. The apartment includes wifi, but is quite weak so generally confined to the living/dining area. It was well fitted out with tea towels, kitchen utensils, glasses etc and plenty of towels in the apartment. The apt was 5 mins walk from the main city beach, but 15 min walk further north to the much nicer Maria Pia beach, which is stunning and has good amenities - beach bars, loungers, toilets, showers, parking etc. The old town was about 20-25 min walk where we ate out every night. I particularly recommend the bars and restaurants along the Bastioni for sunset - especially the Cult Bar and Kings. Our only complaint was check out was a bit confusing. It was 11am so we were expecting the owners to come and collect keys. We waited for half an hour and ended up leaving them in the letterbox so make sure you clarify the check out process. Overall, it was a good value, good location and clean, modern apartment. Could sometimes be a bit noisy, but generally we were very pleased with it.
