This B&B is a very special place. I loved everything about it. We have been home almost a week & Im still thinking about the, to die for, breakfast selection, the comfy sofas in the drawing room, the afternoon tea, my large luxurious bed, the port & sherry before bed - what is not to like! We will be back Julia & Mike to enjoy your gorgeous oasis of calm soon again.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for in a way that truly made our stay exceptional. Kilmahon is soooooooooooooo nice and we spent a really relaxing weekend that exceeded all of our expectations. The house (Georgian style) itself is both elegant and incredibly accommodating, blending a sense of traditional charm with a great location. Every corner of the house speaks to thoughtful attention to detail, creating an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. Let me assure you that the breakfast was simply delicious and service throughout our stay was outstanding. 
Julia and Mike are truly exceptional hosts, providing service that is not only professional but also incredibly warm and friendly. 

The rooms are great. Each room (and we got a tour of most rooms) is beautifully furnished with a combination of comfort and style that immediately made us feel at ease. The cleanliness and maintenance were impeccable. Kilmahon is truly a hidden gem and offered the perfect getaway for us as a couple. We are already looking forward to returning in the future and 200% recommend it – we will definitely be back!

It was absolutely wonderful ! All the homegrown food, delicious . They have 30 Chicken and grow all their own vegetables. The House is like  traveling back in time and so relaxing, in the afternoon you can help yourselves to Tea and cakes and Port and Sherry in the Georgian Drawing Room, a Dream. will be back !

We spent three days in the area staying at Kilmahon House.
The whole experience was wonderful, the house has real character and our hostess was charming and accommodating.
Our bedroom was spacious and the bed comfortable.
The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and is one of the best I’ve ever had.
We’d definitely stay here again if in the area.

Kilmahon House is absolutely gorgeous! My room and bathroom were so beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast Julia makes is amazing--not to be missed. There is a beautiful sitting room with a fireplace that I took advantage of each night. It is an easy walk to the beach and to Ballymaloe Cookery School. The service was impeccable. They helped me out of a jam even after I had left. You could not ask for a better B and B and I plan to return as often as I can!

What an incredible 3 night stay we had at Kilmahon House. Julia and Mike are the best of hosts. They are so warm, friendly and hospitable. The house and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. The rooms/beds are comfortable. The showers are good. The breakfasts are so generous. With plenty of options on the menu, there is something for everyone. I had something different for breakfast each morning. The homemade jams we got with our breads/scones were outrageously tasty. The self service tea / coffee station on the upstairs landing along with a variety of complimentary freshly baked sweets including lemon drizzle and chocolate brownies are a particular nice touch. We did the Ballycotton cliff walk, visited Ballymalloe House and Cookery School, and ate dinners at Ferritt & Lee and Cush restaurants which all added to the experience during our sunny bank holiday weekend. Julia asked us to switch rooms for our 3rd night which we were more than happy to do. We got a better room, and there was a bottle of champagne and a gift voucher on the table when we entered The White Room. We will definitely be back to lounge, eat, relax and enjoy this fantastic house and the hospitality. 10/10

We spent 10 days in Ireland and this was by far our favorite place.  Julia and Mike have created an amazing B&B experience.  They both have incredible backgrounds which makes for wonderful conversations.  The chickens, and border collie (Queenie) were an amazing hit with my girls  (10-11) as well for my wife and I.  The rooms are fantastic,  the breakfast is about as good as it gets. Julia and Mike have a lot of local knowledge about where to go and where to buy a variety of local goods.  

They have very cool plans for the future and that means we have to return to participate in the fun that most certainly will be a part of the visit.  Wonderful location, wonderful house, wonderful time, Wonderful hosts/owners.

What a wonderful place. Julia and Mike are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms beautiful and incredibly spatious. The gardens are beautifully kept. We stayed a week because of our course at the Ballymaloe cooking school. The school is only a short 2 mile walk so very convenient. The beach is also close and the nice village of Ballycotton is about 4 miles away. It was a great week!! 

A Stunning little Gem in the heart of East Cork, great location. From the beautiful bedrooms, to the most fabulous breakfast, I couldn’t recommend a stay at Kilmahon House more highly. Julia and Mike, the owners, are so welcoming and wonderful people. Every little detail is perfect. Cannot wait to come for another visit. Susie & Mary x

I came here by myself to rest a few days. I was immediately welcomed by Julia and her lovely staff. The old house from the 18th century is enchanting in itself and the rooms are very comfortable.  On sunny days I was able to eat breakfast in the garden and got to enjoy the great beauty of it. Breakfast at Kilmahon house is made with lots of love and tastes delicious. You can easily walk to the beach in about 10 minutes and take a quick swim if you're brave enough to jump in the cold water.
