This guesthouse was in a great location.  You can walk all over this delightful little town.  The staff gave us great recommendations for where to eat.  Parking is a bit of an issue...street parking only and the streets are narrow.  This guesthouse is a bit noisy at night, there are several pubs nearby.

Great place to stay in Kinsale!

Stayed here for two nights with a group of old school friends. The staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, and food great in the attached cafe. Highly recommended in a lovely town with some great restaurants and bars nearby

Great weekend at Tierneys

I had booked the full guesthouse for wedding guests in July and the booking was cancelled. It was a bit of bad luck as my credit card had changed and when the guesthouse tried to call me I was already in Ireland using a different mobile number.
 
I’m writing because while this could have been a huge issue for me and all the guests staying at the guesthouse, Tierney’s Guesthouse went out of their way to sort the situation out and find rooms elsewhere in Kinsale for every one of the guests - in peak tourism season! By the time I turned up at the guesthouse expecting to spend the day trying to find accommodation, it was already sorted.
 
I can’t thank Lisa (I believe this is her name) enough for the care she showed and going out of her way to sort out the problem. It really could have ruined our holiday and instead everyone was left impressed at how much people cared, both Lisa and the owners of the other properties who were able to accommodate everyone. I know you had the baby cot transported for one of the guests also who had to relocate.
 
It's easy to give praise when everything is working well, but when things go wrong that’s when you really see whether people can act professionally and their character. I am so grateful for everything you did that morning and couldn’t recommend enough that people stay with you whenever they are in Kinsale. Two guests did stay there and found it very comfortable. 

Exceptional Service

Cosy guesthouse accom, as central as central can be! Reasonable price and a lovely welcome from staff when we arrived. 
Cafe below does a decent all day breakfast too.

Women on check in more than happy to handle any questions too!

Exactly as it should be!

This is a lovely little guest house right in the centre of Kinsale! The rooms are small but perfectly clean! The staff are really helpful telling you different activities to do in rain or shine! The restaurant below if a great place for breakfast or lunch and I’d book to avoid disappointment!

Centre of everything

We stayed one night in a twin room. The room was very clean and had everything that we needed but was a little small. The staff were great, very friendly, helpful and amusing. Tierney's is in an ideal location for getting everywhere in Kinsale and I would be happy to stay there again.

Charming guest house in fantastic location

This tiny B and B was charming and within walking distance to all Kinsale. The streets are as narrow as the buildings. There is no assigned parking for the guesthouse but we had no problem finding off street parking for our two cars. Check in on a Sunday night was delightful because our hostess had her two daughters as assistants who helped us to our rooms. They are adorable. Our rooms were tiny but that fit the whole vibe of Kinsale-quaint and compact. We walked in the rain to Charles Fort, toured the fort, had a cup of tea then hailed a cab for the ride home. Several of the group toured the local meadery. We all met at Dino’s for dinner then hit a pub for drinks. Tierneys is next to a restaurant that served a delightful breakfast (not included in the price) our room overlooked the greenery in the back of the property. I did take advantage of the teapot in the room. I would recommend this place. Note: not handicap accessible. 

Charming B and B

This guesthouse was around the corner from our favorite pubs. Free public parking is available a couple blocks away, as the streets are one way and narrow. Updated furnishings and floor. Small shower. Rooms are not on ground floor. The other couple we were with had to climb two flights of stairs. Noise was not an issue for us, but we do wear earplugs. Room was clean, but carpet on stairs was dirty. Staff member Dominic, when present, was helpful.

Great location, good sized room

Situated in the heart of town, soeasy to get around.  The ladies in reception were cheerfulan and helpful.  The room was small and the bathroom very dark, but adequete enough for one night.  Car parking is dreadful in Kinsale, so once you find a parking spot leave the car there until it's time to leave.

Pleasant enough

Excellent location, close to bars and restaurants. Free car park about 5 minutes walk away. Please note, the car park is not signed with the usual large P sign. Helpful staff. Although modern rooms, they are looking a little tired. My sleep was disturbed by a constant low frequency hum, perhaps someone had left their bathroom light on and the extractor was running or noisy air-con on a neighbouring building.
