Ardilaun Guesthouse

I had a very enjoyable stay in Ardilaun and could not recommend the place highly enough. Rooms are comfortable, heating is generous but can be adjusted to your taste, staff is very welcoming. I liked a nice self catering canteen room and the fact it could be used any time of the day. The real winner is the views onto Fergus river, I highly recommend booking a river view room you won't regret it. Ennis is in great location to be close to all the sights of the West of Ireland. The quality/ price ratio is great. Would certainly stay again/

We stayed in one of the self catering units ( G2), it was absolutely amazing, so cosy, clean. Check in was perfect. It was very reasonably priced, our only regret is it's a short visit as we are flying out of Shannon early. It would be a perfect getaway for a couple.

A wonderfully relaxed, tranquil, comfortable and homely place to stay. My extended family and I occupied several rooms, double, family and apartments all of which were bright, clean, comfortable and spacious, with lots of storage space and a beautiful view of the garden and river. One of the rooms we stayed in had a low-level shower with a wet-room style cubicle, raised toilet and grab rails suitable for my 90 year old mother.  The newly refurbished apartments have 2 generous sized comfortable double beds, a sofa bed and a very functional compact kitchen with full-sized fridge and microwave - perfect for preparing a continental breakfast or light meal. The modern bathroom with traditional and rain shower was a real bonus! The manager John and his family have to be commended on their energy and enthusiasm renovating a guesthouse during a very challenging time for small businesses, coupled with construction materials becoming so expensive and difficult to source. 
Each morning and evening we enjoyed a catch-up on the decked area or in the communal dining room. There is a Petrol/diesel station close-by, a Lidl with 5-10mins walk perfect for picking up food. There’s a McDonalds and a sports park where my teenagers enjoyed playing football within approx 15-20mins walk. Ennis town is approx 30mins walk.  Lake Ballyallia is less than 10 minutes walk away. The lake has woodland walks around it, water sports, and we observed the most amazing sunset there!

I stay here in June for 4 days with my partner daughter and grandson . The place it self was excellent. The ground were fab . The big garden beside the lake was great for my grandson he love playing out there. It a great place for kids  . And staff were very friendly and helpful. I am going to go back again next year. Co Clare is a wonderful county .fab place to see 

This was the best B&B/Guesthouse stay we had in Ireland. The only negative thing we could say was the bathrooms are outdated but they were still very clean compared to others we stayed at and the water pressure was great. 
The staff here were very friendly, the rooms were big and our kids loved the animal statues outside and running on the big grass area at the back. The area is very quiet, so quiet we slept in longer then we should have.

I stayed the weekend with my girlfriend, Amaizing place with stunning view to the lake with a beautiful deck and chairs to sit and amazing beds that found really relaxing and quiet after doing some road trips around Clare, locations is perfect for those want to explore all the good things on the Atlantic way 30 min driving from the cliff of moher and also not far from the north of Kerry and limerick, the attention was amaizing and really attentive to the safety protocols especially important in this times

I stayed with my boyfriend for the weekend while travelling through west coast. Great location, comfortable room and cute back view with a deck and lake. The Atlantic way is really close by as well as Ennis. Safety protocol was provided, which it was important.

I stayed here for 3 nights in October 2019. Itis a lovely welcoming Guest House just on the Northern edge of Ennis In Co Clare. Easy to find, and only 20 minutes from Shannon Airport, it is in an ideal position for exploring this beautiful part of the West of Ireland. The house is on the main road, but my room faced out to the garden, where the river Fergus runs down to the town. The room was quiet at night and with a door out to the garden it was a peaceful haven. There are good facilities, an lovely guest sitting room a small gym and sauna. The breakfasts were delicious and enormous!! There is plenty of parking, and every one was charming and helpful, hard to beat!!!

Very nice, quiet rooms, comfy bed, large garden and deck overlooking stream, and great breakfast. Host made great recommendations for pubs, music, cafe and parking in Ennis - and even a Dr for upper resp infection.  Very accommodating - our group of 5 "picnicked" in the garden one night instead of going out.  Enjoyable stay, good value.

Best B&B/Guesthouse stay we had in Ireland

Ardilaun is a guesthouse, not a bed and breakfast.  Their website does not mention breakfast, BUT their description on TripAdvisor states breakfast is available.  This discrepancy should be corrected.  Our reservation confirmation did state No Board, which I admit I misunderstood.  That said, the room was great with a river view, bathroom was modern.  Security to the guesthouse is with a key code.  There is a former breakfast room where one could work on their computer, and a refrigerator where one could store small parcels of food.  WiFi in our room had a weak signal, and we were the first room after reception.  You could walk to the city centre of Ennis from there, but it would be a long walk and it is not direct.  Not on a bus route.  If you want a guesthouse experience, where you have a nice room, can come and go as you please and don't want to necessarily interact with other guests and staff, this is the place for you.  If you want a bed and breakfast experience, then you should seek a different accommodation.

No Fuss Booking and Allowed us into our Room slightly Early. Only downside was asking to use the Gymnasium and being told it was already in use ...?
Fishing and BBQ Facilities in a Very Pleasant Area are also Available and Clare Centre has Loads of Good Restaurants and Facilities.

Business Visit.

Lovely room and clean bathroom and bedroom  have stayed here twice,  desk check in closes at 9pm so no staff to be seen after 9,  went to get extra pillows and couldnt as desk was closed at 9,  great for travellers as you can have use of fridge toaster microwave etc which is fantastic

Stayed one night prior to a hen party the next day. Booked via Airbnb, didn't have much contact prior despite a message i had sent confirming I could arrive after 9pm due to my flight. They apologised for this as I arrived 2 minutes before they would have closed! Check in was swift and problem-less and I was shown to a nice quiet room. Shower was powerful and warm which was bliss. Plenty of towels as the room was made up with two double beds. I was very cold and had to use the duvet from the other bed as well as my own, couldn't work the radiator in my room. TV worked fine although had limited channels. Had a very good information pack on what to do nearby. I left early the next morning and didn't get to say bye or thank them. So thank you!

Flying visit

nice big bedroom, 2 large beds, doors lead outside to large garden , unit inside room with television on it, large open wardrobe with plenty of room for everyone's clothes and storage,  shower room , nice power shower , check in was easy , we arrived late so key in the door, plenty of space to park to p[ark the car, just up the road from ennis so a great location for us when we went there was no food being served but there was a microwave in the kitchen we could use , tea and coffee facilities are in the room , we had no issues and would stay there again
