Fantastic B&B!  Went with a friend for a  hiking weekend. The hosts Angela & Francis were a lovely couple. Angela went well out of our way to assist us. Breakfast was fabulous. Beautiful Room which looked over Croagh Patrick, fabulous view! Beds super comfy! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of our party was taking part in a 500k non stop cycle.  We had estimated our arrival time at 6pm / 7pm.  I rang the hostess at 9pm to say we would be with them shortly.  The hostess said "you need to come out now, we have other arrangements".  When we arrived at the B&B the host greeted me at the door with "I am very disappointed in you, you were supposed to be here between 6pm and 7pm, we had other arrangements made".  I couldn't actually believe that a host would speak like that to a paying guest.  We didn't even stay for breakfast, even though we had paid for it, and we will not be back. 

If you're staying here you better not be late!  Seemingly 9.30pm is very late in Westport.

Angela is a wonderful hostess. House + rooms spotlessly clean. Breakfasts all home made. The brown bread and fruit compote was yummy. Beautiful house, would definitely stay again. Everything 100% perfect.  

Fantastic Break !!!

First the good. Excellent location out of town, but easily accessed. The yard is beautiful and the views are fantastic. The lady of the house is polite.

However the room was small and crowded. The brocade duvet cover and brocade pillows were stained. The sheets were also stained. The kettle was dirty and a minimum of coffee and milk was provided. The TV, mounted high on the wall was smaller than the smallest laptop. Worst of all was the lack of hot water or heat in the room.

Couldn’t wait to check out, try somewhere else.

Genteel Shabby

Beautiful location on top of the I’ll of Westport,reachable by foot in 25 minutes.
More than kind landlords.
We had a super breakfasts Irish and continental.
Big room with two double bed, courtesy tea coffe maker.
I would come back certainly

Paradise location on top of the ill of Westport

The location and house are beautiful. The room was so comfortable, and the view from our room of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay was spectacular. The breakfast was delicious, and Angela was a fantastic and very attentive host. Very high standards in regards to Covid, so we felt very safe. Would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing visit to Westport and Mayo.

Perfect setting for stay in Westport

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. Angela was most welcoming. We had a large room at the front of the house with very comfortable beds and a view of Croagh Patrick. Breakfasts were excellent.Highly recommended.

Perfect for our stay

Carrabaun house is located a short distance from town ,situated on a height ,the surrounding views is breathtaking.  The house itself is beautiful and spotless. 
Angela is warm and welcoming and her breakfast is delicious. 


Mini hotel

We woke up with a breathtaking view of Croagh Patrick on the day of our climb. Carrabaun House was immaculately clean and welcoming.  The breakfast was a fine Irish meal.  Our room was well appointed.  The view was spectacular!
