Nice rooms, friendly welcome. We stayed in a large room with both our kids and it was grand.  The breakfast was great and the service left us wanting for nothing. B&B close to Mallow town and it was easy to find.  Lovely views out the back of the house.  Only complaint was that the room was a little cold. Plenty of hot water for showers and everything was tidy and clean.  We'd stay again. Thanks.

The stay was ok but our room was looking tired the shower was stained with rust and mildew it needed some attention . The host was kind and made us feel welcome. The house is right beside a main road. The decor is old antique style. Breakfast was basic the full Irish was good but arrived on a small plate. Out of the six B and Bs we stayed at this was the one we found the least maintained. As I say nothing major but would I stay there again NO.

Ok but needs some updating 

It was not luxurious, nor furnished to the highest standards as advertised– thread bare towels, furnishing run down, beds dilapidated, rat trap in dining area, dead plants in windows of dining room- just dirty not clean.  There were no special touches AT ALL. On busy noisy street not scenic at all.The town of Mallow is not much of a town and very limited dining option – maybe 2.

Not as advertised

We decided to stay at this B&B based upon Trip Advisor reviews, but now I realise many of these reviews were dating back some years. When we arrived we found Patrick, our host, to be a very friendly, helpful gentleman but I did find it odd that he wanted payment upfront - my usual experience is that B&Bs don't require payment until the following morning, but I complied anyway. Upon returning to our room later that night, I was horrified to find blond curls left all over the pillows from a previous guest, and although the flat sheet between the duvet and the sleeping guest looked clean, the duvet smelt like it was unwashed. Had we checked the room properly before leaving to go sightseeing earlier this could've been pointed out, but at that late hour nothing could really be done. Also the ensuite bathroom had a strong smell of urine coming from, I believe, the floor and the towels were not washed properly, smelling sour and feeling damp. 
The breakfast consisted of sausages, bacon and an egg with toast and tea/coffee - not a great variety where other B&Bs provide a little tomato, mushrooms and/or beans. Views of the fields out the back were picturesque but nothing made up for the hygiene standards I expect when staying in B&Bs/hotels etc. Further, the price of this B&B was 50% dearer than another one which was recommended to me after this experience and is also closer to Mallow town too. 
This place looked like it was once a very grand place to stay, but unless it improves on the above points I don't think it will compete well with other accommodations. We will not be staying there again. 
Note: we didn't see any other guests while we were there.

Disappointed with cleanliness.

This bed and breakfast has a web page which does not open up at all. I rang the owner directly as I was looking for accommodation in Mallow.  The phone call was not handled very well. So I did not proceed with booking. Then stayed in a fantastic Bed and breakfast outside mallow. Where the family were very welcoming and wonderful. What a difference between both people.
