Baturiti Villa Lovina

With so many options of places to stay in Bali, everything you book can be a gamble. We struck gold with this place! Baturiti is mostly known as a restaurant but it has 5 amazingly beautiful villas shaped like a half dome and made entirely from bamboo and mango tree wood, even all the furniture! They are two story with the bedroom in a cool loft. The rest of the villa is spacious and comfortable and the bathroom is in a private outdoor courtyard. The restaurant has 14 amazing bamboo gazebos on a lagoon, such a beautiful way to enjoy a meal. The only downside is they only serve beer, no cocktails or wine, but one of the staff took me on his scooter to show me where the local bottle shop was to get some wine, nothing was too much trouble for them! On our two week trip to Bail this was the one and only place we really felt totally relaxed, so much so we booked and extra two nights! It's located about a 5min scooter ride into Lovina Beach town itself, if you want the touristy stuff and more options for dining and shopping. We enjoyed being a bit further out of the hustle and bustle. The manager Gusti and his staff are truely lovely and eager to do anything for you to make your stay a good one. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and the girls helped me secretly organise a beautiful flower arrangement in our villa for when we returned after breakfast in the gazebo. On our trip we spent a few days in quite a few locations but this was the only one we were sad to leave. We'll be returning to Bali in 6 months time and will be booking another stay at Baturiti for sure, we can't wait to return!
