Very good hotel sambala. Staff are very good. Bengali food is very tasty and fresh. Location is very good mall to hotel 1mint distance. Biswajit Paul is very good person and very good tour guider. Hotel is very good. We r very happy staff for staff behaviour.very good hotel it is final .

If you are not stay in this hotel U are not assume what is it.  Their COOK & all BOYS are so friendly and most helpful.  Their food in very beautiful and testy. Roti 10/- Rs. each but very big. The boys are Bengali and they are behavior is very very good. Hotel is very near by MALL.  They are very much careful to my mother and child.  I say in DECEMBER;2014 They are special arrangement ROOM HEATER for my mother.  Thanks for all boys and hotel SAMBALA and Gods Bless U.

Hotel sambala is very good hotel. All staff ,is very good.hotel to mall distance 1mint.

Very Very Very GOOD HOTEL in DARJELLING

It is an average hotel with cozy rooms which can be better.Bathrooms are small but are equipped with geyser and shower.The location is good and just 5 mins from the Mall area.They have a restaurant but I haven't taken food so wont be able to say about the quality/quantity.
The staffs are helpful and friendly but I really dont know who have put a brassier inside my strolley bag and it was embarrassing when I got back home and my wife found it.It was more terrifying as it was a business trip and I was traveling single!!   :-)

Average hotel

I went to inquire in this Hotel in Darjeeling. After seeing the rooms and knowing about the rate, I agreed to proceed and presented my papers to them. The manager informed me with great regret that he cannot accommodate guests coming from Bangladesh since he does not have the permit to accommodate any foreigners. Although I couldn't stay here but I would still highly recommend this hotel to my Indian mates who are travelling to Darjeeling. The behavior of the front desk guys really amazed me and I also thanked them for telling it to me in advance.

The room was very clean with an attached balcony with great view of the mountains. They have a brilliant view of Kanchendzungha mountain ranges from the rooftop. Definitely recommended to my Indian friends.

Cannot accommodate Non Indian Nationals

Rooms are too small..toilets are not cleaned properly. Poor housekeeping. Bad behaviour of the manager. Staffs are quiet untrained and irresponsible.No warm drinking water was supplied. Food quality was also poor but rates were so high.

Small rooms

Pathetic Hotel, Pathetic Staff, Pathetic Management. Please DO NOT EVER VISIT AND STAY IN THIS HOTEL. EXTREMELY BAD ROOM, RUDE SERVICE AND WORST AND DRUNK MANAGEMENT. Cheaters and drunk staff, dirty hotel ever.

Worst Hotel in Darjeeling 

I would have rated zero star if there was an option. I booked two rooms for me and my family. I was sent pictures on whatsapp by the owner and assured that tv and geyser will be available 24 hours in whatsapp and charged me Rs 1200 per non view room double bed. As soon as I checked in I found the rooms to be so small and tv was not working for both the rooms. The bed were small not even queen sized. The bathroom was not cleaned with blood around and was so small that there was no place to take showers. They keep their water supply off and you will have have to wait for half an hour for water supply once you come from sightseeing. The staff were so rude and non cooperative that they didn't even changed the lamp of the bathroom which suddenly stopped working in one of the room and we had to use the bathroom using phone flash. Never visit this hotel as it will spoil your mood and trip. Mail for screenshots and videos to support for my statement.
