The initial impression that we got from this hotel was not good! One point that was a turn off was this stay is constructed in very steep location which is making it a rough time to reach the hotel. However, the stay at this place totally changed my mind. The stay at this place is worth for the money. The views that the superior AC rooms offer are damn awesome. STAFF: The staff is very friendly and approachable. They assist in all the possible ways. Let me quote few examples. Before I proceed I should admit the fact that these people are not money minded for sure. 1. The team will hire an auto if you wish to visit any nearby places. Any place around this stay would be very approachable. The scenic attractions like Raja’s seat are very nearby to this stay. The minimum cost of the auto would be 80-100 INR. If you hire the auto by these people the auto would directly arrive at your stay location and you would need not walk down the hill to hire an auto. This is the reason I say staff are approachable. 2. Then coming to the point that these people are not money minded they themselves have assisted me to approach the point where I can get Self driven two wheeler. It is like giving my preferences top priority. There is no force that I should take a sightseeing package that this resort offers. This made my second great impression with staff. 3. The staff has a great knowledge about the places to cover and when to visit. At any time I was not felt that my preferences have to be compromised. 4. The staff also assisted me the best place to shop. STAY: I should say the rooms that offer the best view are superior AC rooms. The view that we wake up will drive you crazy. You will have access to Balcony to chill out with your family or friends. Also this would be the best place to click few pictures. The stay has best resources to park your vehicles and have a restaurant. The resort has Wi-fi facility, room service at a call, food delivery to room, generator facility etc. The rest rooms are pretty clean and offer in-room geyser facility 24/7. The wi-fi is pretty fast. No complaints regarding that. One thing I should also admit is none of the cleaning staff approached to clean the room during the 3 nights I stayed at this resort. Probably there should be a manual request that should be placed over call. FOOD: The restaurant has best chefs to cook food. It is very affordable and if you are very concentrated on health getting spoiled at new places with the food then these people have the best menu and cuisine offered to you. It is very affordable that it did cost me 500INR per meal for two adults. The breakfast offers seasonal fruits along with delicious Sambar. You would be pretty satisfied with the breakfast. The bitter experience I did face was these people would close the restaurant by 10: 00 PM IST. They would not extend even on special request. I had to approach Dominos for this reason. The Dominos is available till 11: 00 PM IST. The hotel allowed me an early check in as the rooms were available on the respective date I did check in. The late checkout charges are also very nominal and they would not charge the entire day charge if you are late. As per my regular check out the time was at 11:00 Am and with the support of staff and a nominal charge I checked out at 7:30 PM as I have my reserved bust at 8: 30 PM. That’s a pretty awesome feature these resorts have. The payment methods they accept are PAYTM, TEZ and CASH. FINAL IMPRESSIONS: If you are planning for a stay with nominal budget and best regular food then choose the superior rooms well in advance as there would be some offers as well. You may also approach the resort directly for booking and avail best offers as they vary depending on occupancy. The only drawback is approaching this resort. If you are planning to stay in this resort give the resort a call and request them to arrange an auto to reach this hotel as the auto will directly take you to the entrance of the resort else you would need to walk up hill with all the luggage you carry. Trust me these guys are extremely approachable. If you are planning for self driven transport then you need not take a second look this resort would be good to stay. It doesn’t have pool and such stuff but a calm and great place to stay will make worth it. Hope this gives a clear picture about the resort. All of you have a wonderful stay at Coorg!
