I stayed with my family and in-laws for a night and the entire experience was really horrible.  Ruined the complete vacation.

The rooms were sea facing in ground floor. The approach to the rooms were going around the building with gas cylinders scattered on the way and next to the garbage room. The foul smell from the garbage was unbearable.
The A/c inside room was working but not effective at all and water was dripping below the a/c making floor wet. Bedsheets had some stains on it.

Restaurant was in shabby condition with old and worn out furniture. Nobody was coming except few noisy bachelors and random local young couple looking for privacy. Not a place for decent families to stay. We didn't eat from the restaurant and all meals had from outside except next day morning breakfast which was complimentary.

We asked for a change of room and was shifted to first floor rooms after few hours after calling the owner of the homestay.
Still the water was coming very slow in the above room. One of the room was not locking from outside, staff tried their best also brought someone to help but couldn't fix it.  Hence one of us had to sit in the room when others went the beach.

Staff had no clue, Initially resistant to help but later on started helping once we called the owner. Staff helped to move us above floor and tried to fix the issues in the rooms and they were courteous.

Good part about the property is its beach facing and has a great view of the sea from first floor.  Hence approach to beach is excellent as gate opens to beach.
They served idly  sambar, chutney and coffee as morning breakfast which was very tasty.

Overall very shabbily maintained property and not recommended for stay.
As online users like us book the rooms without any reference, vacation gets spoiled when this happens. 
I recommend to blacklist these properties so that  so that no other online users will have these kind of bad experiences.

Horrible experience while staying

Good view that's about all.   It's OK if you want a beer but service is poor and takes ages to get served.  Staff just hanging out o  their mobiles, not interested in their customers.  Can't even get a cup of tea order right 😕.  Shame it was good a few years ago.  

Bay Watch 

Came here one evening to have a drink as this the only place to serve beer and wine. Nice place with a panoramic view of the sea but waiters simply do not care unless you approach their reception and ask them repeatedly to send someone with a menu or clean the table.

Better to avoid this place as there are other good restaurants like Le Cafe, Chillis Out, Liliput etc for Sea foods.

Superb location but pathetic service

A good place to sit upstairs and enjoy the view with a drink.  The meals here are ok.  Best part of the experience is the view and quietness of the beach.  They have 'chinese' style dishes but these are not normal asian style meals.  Ok though if you need a break from traditional Indian cuisine.

Came here for lunch cos I was here a while ago and the food was good..mistaken as all hell..the food was rubbish, masala mixed with water, prices way too high and the time taken for the food was like a whole damn hour..we will never ever go here again and I hope no one else does.

Only thing that doesn't suck is the view

we had to check in here because all the other places were booked on the weekend. that itself felt crazy because the entire beach has no rooms and this places had 5 empty rooms. firstly is way to expensive for its quality. very bad services, nothing works, all leaky taps , you will sweat in AC room, cause they dont work. Food ordered would take like 1hour or 90 mins and would come cold. just a little walk away there is a place which provided great food. they close the gates by 9PM, and if you ask them to open, the watchman uses abusive language in Malayalam, beacuse the gentleman is completely drunk and falling off. very dangerous place to stay with family. please dont make the mistake i made.

The worst place ever - ones stop if you want to ruin your vacation

We searched google to find somewhere local to eat so decided to try here. We weren’t disappointed, thoroughly enjoyed the food and cold drinks. The service wasn’t the best in the world but we had no complaints. Amazing beach location too.

Location of this hotel is excellent but very poor

The staffs are rude. No wifi or phone reception in rooms. No telephone in room. Waited 2 hours to confirm room . On my booking is sea view but a standard room was given despite I showed the email. The room smell.

Worst hotel ever

If you like bathing with funny waves you love the rooms on front beach. Very lively area. True the restaurant is not my favourite on the street but the waiters are very kind and helpful.
