We spent 1st jan 2018 on house boat day ride.It was an unforgettable experience.we booked a separate boat for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids.Boat ride,sceneries outside,Special lunch with karimeen fish and evening snacks aaah it was a ride.I feel night ride is of not much worth,as boat will be tied up somewhere and all u need to do is to sleep in ac room(if it works properly).

House boat is an amazing experience in the back waters of Alleppey. The house boat is decently managed with all types of eating fecility. There is there small rooms which are given for stay. It is exciting to watch the boat travel during the day. In the night the boat is standalone standstill

Unique experience

No doubt that decoration was nice, hospitality was fine, but there is a huge problem regarding local language. they dont understand hindi at all. Food was of local flavor but nice. But not value for money at all.

price too much high

It was wonderful experience to stay whole day at boat in water . Fish fry which is readily fished there and cooked fresh fish was good and tasty . However, it was very hot inside at the afternoon. Ambience is good at over all

Good experience at house boat

Cons: Ugly boat, not clean at all, worst bed, no hot water and no tv, ugly bathrooms, boat floor and walls are very bad looking, food not very higenic, smelly getty where they park for 14 hours, worst maintenance, nothing you can get in getty, not suitable for families, many mosquitos.
Pros: cruise is very good and very welcoming people.
Conclusion: plan only cruise and not stay also dont expect any clealiness and higenic food from them. Avoid if any chance and do not ruin your money and holidays.

AVOID AT ALL COST

The most dirtiest place I ever seen ... if Make My Trip gives you this houseboat under sweet name of "luxurious", I would say dump Make My Trip .... This houseboat (?) has rotten carpet, bed in the rooms, toilet does not have seat, bathroom is way filthy with even poor taps etc...dining tables, cloths are way old / torn outs... you will never feel stepping your foot on the boat ... The photoes published here are morphed ... the reality is billion times worse ... I even did not feel to capture the current condition .... its that worse ... PLEASE AVOID THIS HOUSEBOAT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR TRIP ...
One good part is Manager Ranjeet ... he is very friendly ... I would advise him to search the job on another boat than ruining his career ....

Disgusting, Pathetic (if you know more synonyms to it, please add)

It was offered in the name Castle on waves, Premium houseboat by EGC.
Photos shown on MakeMyTrip is misnomer.
Most probably they adjusted us on some pathetic houseboat if review by other tourists are correct. Even then also, it is a dangerous and shrewd practice if you do not find enough tourist to run your boat you shift them to some pathetic boat, where your whole night is spent in switching on and switching off the AC as it doesn't have remote and the boat also doesn't have reliable power backup.

Misleading advertisement.

The photos below will explain my experience. Booked for whole day but left in middle. While booking there are different photos and after chekcing in we realised they sent us to totally a different boat which was really pathetic, the form that we filled in read atdc and egc claims they are subsidiary of Atdc but why to send to a different boat than booked one. But at least there should be some proper facilities etc. (understood because of their service their actual boats never gets full). Worst part is MakeMyTrip through which I had done the booking thinks that those photos on the website and the photos which i posted are same and premimum. 

Please stay away from this if you don't want to ruin your trip and money.

Stay away to save your money and trip experience

The experience was so bad I'm writing my first review. They don't have courtesy to understand that kids or on board we need to ask them continuously for everything. Worst maintained boat, no lights in the stairway, no lights in washbasin, very ugly, no television had to fight with them to get the TV from next house boat by 9pm and to add insult to injury the person named Gopan was very rude and told he cannot help and I need to adjust. With this kind of services they don't deserve to be rated and don't even deserve one star. Pathetic experience my suggestion is kindly avoid this house boat. Don't ever take this boat. Not suitable for family or bachelor only motive is to make money out of everything
