We stayed two nights in the place and we would go there again. The rooms are cosy, several bathrooms available with washing machine and dryer plus a nice terrace with evening sun.
The host is very friendly and even prepared coffee for us one morning. In 2’ walking distance there is a restaurant, a store and a gas station.
There are two separate parts with separate entries. In one part are two rooms and the kitchen you share (next to a big fridge and more room to store your food). I’d propose to ask for a room in the other part, as you don’t have the noise of people making breakfast, if you want to sleep a bit longer

Nice, cosy, warm and friendly place

Very nice room of a good size for Iceland.Cosy dining room with lot of amenities to cook your own meal for dinner.Very good breakfast with fresh baked bread and all what one needs: meat, cheese,vegetables, fruit, cereals, fruit juice,eggs...Many information about the region, travel guides to use. Above all, a very clean bathroom with organic soap:you smell the wild herbs of Iceland.A wash/dry combination for use:everything with eye for the environment.A bathrobe for everyone.Simply the best guesthouse we had in Iceland!!!Bryndis is a top lady!

In combination with the best breakfast, this was our best stay in Iceland by far.
If only we would have seen the aurora during our stay.

Recommend place

The room is super clean and comfortable. We stay here 2 nights and the beds are very good. There are two bathrooms for 3 rooms where we stayed, which is very good for a shared bathroom bedroom hall. The hosts are super nice and friendly and more than welcome to help you with any information or thing you might need. And the breakfast is amazing. Not very complex, but has everything you need, products are mostly biologic, and of excellent quality. And there are eggs and waffles!

Overall, one of the best guesthouses I stayed in Iceland, and throughout my travels. Will stay here any time going to Mývatn or Akureyri!

Amazing guesthouse and host.

Bryndis and her family are perfect, excellent hosts.  Breakfasts are full of homemade waffles with rhubarb jam, Icelandic sliced meat, fruits, vegetables and of course delicious coffee.  To wake up with conversation murmurs of contentment, laughter and served hot waffles and coffee non stop was an unforgettable joy in my Iceland trip this past July 2017.
Any local questions or recommendations were quickly answered.  We toured with great memories as a result.  Our group also spent time with Bryndis to learn of the elves.  Please inquire, it was personally insightful to learn of the Other world they inhabit.  
Sleeping in the summer light was not a problem with blackout shades in the room.  Plus the beds were so comfy!
My wishes for your stay to be as memorable as my own.  It is a place to which I will return and I will always love my experiences here.
